Authors note: For those who really know me, know I can't read a death fic... I can write them rarely, and this one just begged to be let out, to have a voice.

Dedication: To all who have left us, by their own choice, or because it was time. We miss you.

Brown stared into blue, watching as each emotion danced across the surface. Each held the gaze of the other, memories and lives spent together as well as apart lived between them. All their memories, loves, hurts, failures, triumphs, pain and suffering, each the same and yet different for the two.
It was minutes, hours, or only seconds that they continued to gaze at each other, showing how their love had endured for 48 years, how they became one in a world that would have kept them as two.
Brown stared into blue, watching until the blue faded into clouds and left this earth.
Brown stared into blue and repeated the same words he'd made every year on their anniversary. "This world is nothing without you." There was more this time. "I'll be with you soon my love."

He stayed there, next to the man he'd loved for nearly five decades until his brown eyes faded as well.
