Author's Note: written as part of the found_my_keys ficathon for koulagirl666, who asked for: Give me something that's not happy-fluffy-bunnies. The darker it is, the better, but I don't like happy-fluffy-bunnies, hurt/comfort, fluff without bunnies, happy schmoopy 'i love you' endings, and falling into bed due to inexplicable chemistry. Make the boys have wrong turns (even literally) and angst and despair over how things are never going to work out, and then still be surprised when in the end, things still haven't worked out. Maybe they meet and like each other but just can't get it together enough to have anything more than three minutes. Maybe they work together but neither can get the balls to ask the other out. Maybe they are at war (corporate, literal, schoolroom, whatever!) with each other and refuse to compromise their ideals and negotiate a ceasefire. Give me conflict! Please! And it doesn't even have to be AU.
