pics: not quite black & white

i've been doing pics of our favorite men with this technique; it's one of my favorite looks. you drain the color from the picture (if it's not already in black & white), add a bit of sepia tones, and then highlight just the eyes, for example, with a pop of color. they definitely lose something in icon size, but those are here as well. all are for sharing; please credit me.

I tried to do something like what you've done here ages ago for a fic banner ( http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y3/DraganaJane/songsforsomeoneelsebanner1.jpg) and I could never get it to turn out as good as yours! I am so super jealous. I really love how this looks on Viggo and I've seen your Karl post as well. Very Beautiful work.

wow, thanks for linking to your banner; it's gorgeous! i love the glow you got there; it really pops off the background. i'm happy to share what i did with these two and with bean - it was very simple - email me at itsonlypaint at gmail.com if you'd like. karl's eyes were just plain old painting, pixel by pixel, rather than the same technique used here.
