Viggo and Orlando were having a quiet but comfortable moment on their couch. Orlando was leaning against Viggo. He was slightly nervous because he had some news to tell.
Everything had started a little earlier. They had been separated for two months because of Viggo shooting a movie abroad. Separation loneliness had gnawed at their hearts. When Viggo had finally come home their reunion had been frantic, their needs and the longing directing them instead of their minds.
“Do you remember the day when you got back?” Orlando asked drawing patterns on Viggo’s thigh. “How could I forget?” Viggo said running his hands through Orlando’s hair. The soft spoken words made Orlando smile. Yeah, how could they forget it? Everything had been so magical, felt ten times more powerful than ever before.
“Now I know the reason for the fatigue. Of course I have been working like a mad man but there’s more.” Orlando looked up at Viggo. “What’s that?” “I don’t know how to tell you exactly.” Viggo urged him to continue. “Seems like I am giving your birthday present a little early.” “I’m still not following.” “It’s right here...” Orlando took Viggo’s hand in his and guided it under his shirt. He flattened their hands and placed them upon his abdomen. “The news is two will become three sometime next year.”
When it dawned on him, Viggo’s eyes filled with tears. “You mean you...” he started but couldn’t finish. Orlando nodded. Without uttering a word Viggo pulled his hand away only to take Orlando’s face between his hands. Staring into the deep brown eyes he pulled Orlando into a kiss. A sob escaped his lips and fresh tears found their way down his cheeks. Just when he thought he couldn’t be happier Orlando tells him he’s expecting a baby. Yeah. That’s the best present he’s ever got.
It was surreal but he couldn’t care less. He felt like school boy again, in love for the first time. Only, he had loved Orlando for seven years. Now he had fallen in love with him all over again.
