Summary: Viggo’s and Orlando’s first kiss (a prequel to In Search of Fireworks which you can read here if you need a refresher)
AN: Written in celebration of this
There was nothing new about an evening out with the Hobbits, no reason for Orlando’s stomach to be spinning wildly. Nothing except the unexpected presence of the King of Men in their midst. That shouldn’t have been enough to make Orlando nervous either, since he and Viggo had become good friends over the months they’d been together on the shoot, but something in the expression on the older man’s face sent sparks down Orlando’s spine, sensitizing his skin so that with every move on the dance floor, the brush of his clothing against his flesh added to the nerves.
Finally deciding the only way to ease the ridiculous reaction to Viggo’s gaze was to get him on the dance floor as well, Orlando wove his way through the crowd to the table where the American sat. “Come dance,” he insisted.
In the dim light of the club, he couldn’t read the expression on Viggo’s face, but the other man stood slowly and let Orlando lead him back into the mass of undulating bodies. There was barely space to move, certainly no space to keep any distance between them, but Orlando didn’t mind, rubbing up against Viggo as he danced, letting that contact both ease and augment the sizzles up and down his limbs.
He hadn’t known what to expect from Viggo as a dancer so he was pleasantly surprised when the Ranger began moving with him, creating a most delicious friction between their bodies. Orlando could feel himself reacting to the nearness, the rub of cloth over skin, the brush of their bodies together. Viggo’s hands settled on his hips, guiding his movements slightly, keeping them in close contact without ever letting their groins bump, much to Orlando’s disappointment. He found himself suddenly wanting to know if Viggo’s rushed breaths were a result of the dancing or of something more intimate, if the seemingly darkened eyes were a trick of the light or a product of desire, but the American was too smooth for that, allowing their bodies to brush in every other way but that one.
Frustrated, Orlando twined his arms around Viggo’s neck and tried to move closer, undulating as provocatively as he could, doing his best to let the other man feel his desire, even if Viggo wouldn’t reciprocate.
The words, when they left Viggo’s mouth, were so soft Orlando wasn’t sure he even heard them, wasn’t sure Viggo had spoken. And then all thoughts of words fled as Viggo’s lips closed over his, a hot, hard possession of his mouth. Orlando melted beneath the power of the kiss, unable even to react at first other than to part his lips to Viggo’s invading tongue. His brain scrambled to catch up with reality, and then suddenly, he was able to move again, sucking eagerly on the older man’s tongue, his hands sliding up into the shaggy hair to encourage an even deeper contact.
Viggo’s hands stroked up his back, freeing Orlando’s hips to settle where they longed to be – pressed up against Viggo’s, hard cocks rubbing together through the thick fabric of their jeans. He moaned against the older man’s lips, mind torn between racing to the obvious conclusion that this kiss was like nothing he’d ever felt before and shutting down completely from the overload of sensation.
He wanted to beg Viggo to take him home, to take him to bed, simply to take him, but he didn’t get the chance. The Ranger pulled back as suddenly as he had started the kiss, spinning on his heel and striding away. Orlando called his name, tried to go after him, but before he could catch him, Viggo was out the door and out of sight.
Leaning against the wall, Orlando lifted his hands to his flushed cheeks. This wasn’t over. Viggo couldn’t just kiss him like that and then disappear. As soon as filming was done for the day tomorrow, he’d corner the older man and make him explain. And then, hopefully, they could pick back up where they’d stopped on the dance floor, because Orlando already knew one kiss wouldn’t be enough.
