I received your letter yesterday. I have to say I read it through more than once. It was nice that you even wrote to me after all we’ve both been through.

Your letter made me think, you know, about the contents you had written down. But what shocked me the most was what you had put between the lines.

What did you mean by saying you are leaving? I hope my instincts are wrong.

All I can offer you is that we’d meet somewhere, just the two of us. I’d really want to explain myself to you in person, not in a letter like this. I hope you’d arrive at that nice little cafeteria we once dined in. Do you still remember it? I’d like to meet you on April 3rd IF that suits your schedule that is. I know you have my number even though I haven’t answered. Please, just send me a text message if this won’t work.
