Anyone on here not seen these photos of Kate and Orlando posing on the beach? Now, is it me, or does this seem contrived to other people? I mean if you're going to walk the dogs in your bathing suit and wave to the gathered press, well aren't you also making your butt squeezing point a little too overt?

Then again, I'm of the opinion that Kate (or any woman) would be bearding for Orlando. That 'boy' just twangs my gaydar. Do I think he's with Viggo? Was with Viggo? Ah, now that's the question isn't it?

In my personal - and nowhere near professional - opinion, the hand on her ass looks photoshopped onto there. Maybe it's just me, but the fingers seem to stop dead at the middle knuckle, and there's no.. How you say... grab-shadow? Like, there's no pulling on her suit or anything.

Maybe I'm just reading too much into my own Anti-Kate suspicions.

But I digress. The point of my comment is this:

Oh yeah, my gaydar goes off for him big-time! It is entirely possible for him to swing both ways (the bi part of my gaydar isn't very good...but my full gaydar is excellent). But that boy is not completely straight!

I'm totally with you. I'm still not sure about the gay part, but I'm definately getting a not totally straight vibe off him.

Yeah, it is entirely possible that every once in awhile he doesn't say no to chicks (because he is a slut...that is something you can tell *smiles*). But he doesn't say no to the boys either...especially boys named Viggo.

I have this theory....

Orlando's people want to distance themselves from any question of his sexuality by keeping him away from Viggo. That means, no photos, no mentions of him in the press--nada. Who remembers the days of gushing "I know this is gonna make me sound like I'm in love with the guy."?

Then nothing.

Not even a photo of them or mention of them at the same parties in Toronto--yet we get pics of Vig with Sean and hear of all the other castmates being there. Then we see him with Elijah.

So as close as the two of them were--why no more? Breakup? Orli's people putting a stop to it? What?

Ideas?

I don't have any ideas as to what is going on but, I too found the fact that there are no pictures of them together at all, I mean it just looks too obvious to me, the fact that the kid was all over him before and now they were in the same city same party and not even a public hello from them?
I think it is extremely sad if they are a couple, that they have to be kept apart, because of what people will say, if that is the case it is indeed a sad world we live in that a couple can not choose who they love :(

I have come to the conclusion that cyber-space is home to those of us who are more liberal and tolerant in our viewpoints - about love and same sex relatioships and religion etc.

In a different context (over on my LJ) I wrote:

Various articles from last week's Guardian stick in my mind. The first is about gay kids/teens getting bullied at school (http://users.guardian.co.uk/Guardian/weekend/story/0,3605,1580798,00.html). Interesting article both disturbing and mind boggling for me. Reading (and having read) as much slash as I do, some of it in the HP fandom written, or at least predominately read by teenagers, I can't get my head around the gap in permissive open minded attitudes in cyber life and the narrow-minded bigotry in real life. i.e. If Harry and Draco starring as romeo & romeo is your fic-crack of choice, how can you pick on teenagers who may be gay? Or even teenagers who are slight in build, or shy, or don't know what their orientation is?

And then went on to discuss other things BUT I think that the majority of the world is more narrow minded than I would expect. Couple that with the current climate in America and it's enough to closet anyone. Let alone someone whose under contract with the mouse.

I agree with this part too, I on the other hand am extremely proud of my country (Australia) for it's liberal and open minded views about so many things.
Homosexuality here is beginning to be celebrated as a alternate life style and you see same sex couples on the street behave like any other couple and not get harassed as much as they do in any other country. And for that I am very proud of my country the way we have learned to live and let live.

I don't think I've ever seen a picture of them together that DIDN'T look staged. They are the least in love couple I've ever seen.
