A/N: Apologies for the absurd lateness of this update. Further apologies for my blatant disregard for geography and time. I actually have been to Key West, but due to the interest of time and space, I placed some attractions closer than they really are. The Glass Reef, Pirate Soul Museum, and Coconut Grove are all real, just a bit misplaced in terms of location.

Author’s Notes: 1) Important! This story is set within the events of Peter Jackson’s Return of the King. Therefore, in order to provide context, periodically there are scenes that I have taken directly from the screenplay. I make no claim to have written any part of these scenes and have done my best to call them out via italics.

(2) This story is dedicated to everyone who has read and enjoyed the previous chapters. I realize that it has been THREE YEARS since I last updated this series—I have less time to participate in fandom than ever, it seems—but it has been nagging and nagging at me. I intend to finish it, if possible before the release of The Hobbit next year! :)
