Summary: In which Aragorn and Legolas return to Minas Tirith for the Last Debate and afterward must make ready to ride to the Black Gate. This story contains several “deleted scenes” from the movie. It is a sequel to Sleepless, Restless and Faithless and takes place immediately afterward.

Author’s Notes: 1) Important! This story is set within the events of Peter Jackson’s Return of the King. Therefore, in order to provide context, periodically there are scenes that I have taken directly from the screenplay. I make no claim to have written any part of these scenes and have done my best to call them out via italics.

(2) This story is dedicated to everyone who has read and enjoyed the previous chapters. I realize that it has been THREE YEARS since I last updated this series—I have less time to participate in fandom than ever, it seems—but it has been nagging and nagging at me. I intend to finish it, if possible before the release of The Hobbit next year! :)
