This is so old, but... amusing.
Jan. 20th, 2017 06:28 pmI know this is very old, but I want to point out two things that seem to connect well with each other and have been on my mind for quite a long time now.
So, in the Appendices of The Two Towers, specifically in the "Cameras in Middle-earth" part, we see the cast talking about Orlando's injury, breaking his rib after having fallen off his horse. Billy was very funny, I have to say that. "I think he's still healing." Anyway, Viggp has to say this about the topic...

It's interesting how he keeps looking down the entire time and fidgetting. Also, do I hear a cough when he says "fragile"?
To which comment Orlando replies like this, by the way:

First of all, would I be called delusional if I said that I think Viggo is actually near him? I mean, he replied as if he heard what Viggo said and he us staring at his side... I don't know, I am not sure. What I am pretty sure though is that he liked Viggo's comment, just look at his expression, although he also seems kind of nervous, his stance, finger rubbing his chin, typical of him, if you ask me. And I am pretty sure I hear a laughter behind the camera here. :)
Athough it is not needed for the point I want to make, I love how Viggo supports him and says: "No, but seriously, I mean it was about stacking it up and... standing by your... fellow man, elf or dwarf or hobbit... wizard and giving it your best shot and he certainly did. He certainly did." And also how he repeats his last sentence. Pretty sweet.
So, apparently Orlando is fragile, meaning that he breaks (easily). Interesting...
Here is the video link, by the way. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dyvkeg3oAWk
And now we go to the Los Angeles premiere of RotK in which we see Viggo saying:

"Broke a couple of different things"... while averting his eyes in different directions. It does seem like he is thinking about those things too.
See the connection here? The Elves of Mirkwood can be fragile --> Legolas is fragile --> Orlando is fragile --> Viggo broke "a couple of different things" --> Viggo broke Orlando. In that sense I imply and you understand. ;) (He fucked the brains out of Orlando and the latter enjoyed every bit of it too much, is what I imply...)
Hope you liked this analysis/observation, however you want to name it. It seems quite plausible to me at least. I wonder if you agree. :)
