Coffee Break
Nov. 4th, 2011 09:26 pmSo - I'm supposed to be editing the next chapter of ROF, but this lil idea wouldn't leave me alone, so I just threw it together. It's short but sweet. Hope you enjoy.

Disclaimer: Didn’t happen, no matter how bad we want it to…
Viggo sat at a small table over in the corner. He sipped at his cup of black coffee while waiting for his friend to arrive. He didn't have to wait long, and Viggo waved to the other man as he came in the door.
After getting a cappuccino for himself, the younger man slid into the seat across from Viggo, throwing his cap and sunglasses on the table. "I swear traffic was hell to get here. I almost ran a stop sign and there was a cop behind me. Gee, that would have been great; I would have never lived that down."
Viggo chuckled, shaking his head. "Reckless. Some things never change." He leaned back in his chair, eyeing his companion carefully. "So, what's going on, what have you done, and how much is it going to cost me to get you out of trouble?"
Dark Brown eyes narrowed and he feigned indignation. "I take offense to that. I haven't had a ticket in almost 2 months now. I'm trying to set a new record."
Viggo laughed heartily at that. The boy was too cute for his own good.
They fell into easy conversation, taking this precious time to catch up on each other's lives. It seemed that it was getting harder and harder for them to find the time to get together, so Viggo cherished their meetings no matter how short they were.
Soon their conversation drifted to more touchy subjects. Viggo watched as the younger man ran his fingers through his dark hair, a nervous habit he had. It was a lot shorter now and it looked more wavy than curly. Now he was fidgeting with a sugar packet and Viggo finally reached out and grasped his hands to still them.
Viggo raised his eyebrows. "So, have you made any decisions on what you want to do?"
His question was answered with a groan. "I don't know. I know I’m supposed to receive guidance and all that crap so I can make the right decision…But this is bordering on running my life."
Viggo let out a sigh. They had been down this road so many times. "Well, folks mean well, but you have to remember that it's your life and you have to make your own decisions... Even if they are the wrong ones."
Viggo dodged the sugar packet that was thrown at his head. "Wanker. You're not helping."
They both dissolved into quiet laughter, trying not to attract the attention of the other customers. Time seemed to pass quickly and before they knew it, several hours had gone by.
The younger man jumped up when he realized what time it was. "Aw hell, I'm in for it now. I was supposed to have been back thirty minutes ago."
Viggo also stood up, a warm smile on his face. "You better get going before your entourage comes looking for you." Those beautiful brown eyes rolled as he let out a snort of amusement.
They wrapped each other in a warm hug and then reluctantly let each other go.
"So, we need to do this again soon…and when we have more time. We don't get together enough." The younger man put his cap and sunglasses back on, making it harder to be recognized." Thanks Vig. You always know what to say to make me feel better and you actually listen to my side of the story, instead of just freaking out."
Viggo smiled at him. "Any time. I'll always be here, you know that."
"Yeah, I know... Well I’ve gonna get going, I'm already late as it is. I'll call you, okay? We'll get together soon." He flashed that ever brilliant smile. "Bye Vig."
Viggo smiled sadly, he hated it when their time came to an end. "Bye Flynn.”
