Summary: Orlando is a relationship specialist, working at a dating service who finds it easy to keep his friends love life in control but can't seem to get his own under control.
A/N: Another story where Eric's a bastard. I love Eric but he's so good at being bad. This story I started 3 years ago and every time Valentine's Day came a around I couldn't get it posted. So Finally I'm doing just that.
Disclaimer: Yes, I believe wholeheartedly Viggo and Orlando had this great epic love affair. But I don't have any proof what-so-ever, therefore, this story is a complete fabrication.
Feedback: Yes please; greatly encouraged and appreciated.

Orlando sat behind his desk adding profiles to his computer.

“Un-huh, yea, ok, I got it.” He mumbled half listening to the voice at the other end of the phone that was rambling on and on. In between, he was trying not to fall asleep.

“Are you listening?” The woman’s voice shouted.

Orlando’s heavy eyes suddenly snapped open, “Yes, mum, I got it! Now can I get back to work?” He pleaded.

Sonia's voice soothed, “Sure, hun, call me later.” She said.

“I will, love you, bye.” He Hurried and hung up the phone before she could get going again. Orlando looked at the tons of profiles he still had left to put in his computer, and suddenly felt an amount of exhaustion overwhelm him. He finally let go and collapsed his head down on top of the files. No sooner, he’d done that, he was disturbed again.

Dominic barged into his office, Orlando jumped up. Dom flopped down in the chair at Orlando’s desk, looking like he ran the whole way there and hadn’t slept in days.

“Rough night?” Orlando said curiously noticing Dominic’s disheveled hair and worn t-shirt and jeans. He looked to his camping back back and didn't even want to start on about what that was for.

“You can say that.” Dominic answered bitterly. Orlando leaded his head on the back of his hand.

“Ok, so now what’s your problem?” He asked as if it was the 100th time today he'd asked that question. He began putting some of the files in his desk.

Dominic sighed “LOVE!”

Orlando arched his eyebrow and slightly smiled.

Every time Dominic would start on about the issue, the phone would ring until Orlando finally pulled the cord out.

“Sorry, go on.” Dominic’s bloodshot eyes looked helplessly at Orlando.

“Billy and I broke up.” Dominic blurted out.

Orlando widen his eyes. “What?!" he said in disbelief.

Dominic continued, “And that’s not the worst of it, as of last week he’s been dating Elijah.” He slouched over in the chair with his hand over his head.

“That's impossible. Elijah said they were just friends.” Orlando came from around his desk to wrap his arms around comforting Dominic.

“He lied, Orli."

"Oh come on, you must have misunderstood whatever it was he told you."

Dominic flashed on Orlando, "I didn't misunderstand their tongues down each other's throats!" he said crying again, uncontrollably. He wiped his tears, "But I know what he’s doing."

Orlando looked at him curiously, "And what's that?"

"He's trying to make me jealous.” Dominic continued.

Orlando went back and stood against his desk, “A conspiracy theory, Dom, really? Now, why would he do that when he had you in the first place? You can't be that thick."

Dominic got up, pacing around in circles stopping to look at Orlando.

“According to him, I didn’t appreciate him and our relationship.” He mocked remembering the last nights events.

Orlando’s eyes transfixed in thought. “Well I can certainly understand that.”

Dominic stopped to give him a sharp stare. “Hey, can we focus on me?”

Orlando’s eyes reverted back to him and smiled, “Sorry, so what are you going to do?" he asked going to the water fountain to poor a glass of water.

“I want my boyfriend back, Orli! And you're going to help.” he said as if Orlando didn't have a say in the matter.

Orlando sat his cup on the side of the fountain. "I am?"

Dominic nodded.

Orlando poured another glass of water and handed it to Dom who threw it back in his mouth in one gulp and tossed the cup in the trash next to Orlando's desk.

”Ok, what do you expect me to do? Break him and Lij up? Sorry, no can do in case you forgot I get people together not tear them apart.” Orlando said folding his arms.

Dominic waved his finger at Orlando, “No! In case you forgot you’re the reason those two began making sweet harmony in the first place." he snapped.

“What?! ME!" Orlando shrieked as if Dominic had taken Orlando's Cupid of the Year award that sat in a stand on his desk and slapped it across his face. "I had nothing to do with yours and Bill fallout.”

Dominic’s sharp eyes cut across him, “Oh, really!”

Orlando’s confusion slowly drifted into realization. "Oh." Orlando lowered his head. "You mean they hooked up during the Rolling Stones concert?"

Dominic walked closer to Orlando, "Yes, Orli, they did!"

Orlando pushed back his curls, "Dom, please, how was I suppose to know that was going to happen? Billy came to me saying you two were having issues, so I was going to take him out so he could get his mind off you guys problems but as it turns out I couldn't get off work so I gave the tickets to him and Lij. Believe me, this is the last thing I expected. I just thought they would have a good time without any...relationship stress." Orlando said, trying his best to plead his case.

Dominic started back to pacing around Orlando's office as he tried to think, "Well you succeeded, mate. You know; he forgot about our stress and our relationship. Honestly what did you think would happen, Orli, two lonely guys out together?"

Orlando began to get defensive, “Well what makes you think that wouldn’t have happened if I had went with him”. Dominic rolled his eyes and turned to Orlando.

“Orlando, please.”

Orlando went back to his desk and sunk his seat guiltily.

“Alright, I get it, Dommie, you have every reason to be mad at me. Truth be told it did cross my mind that something could happen. But I thought you two were solid and just going through what most couples go through, I swear.”

"Of course you did, you wouldn't be Cupid if you didn't see the softer side of things."

Orlando looked at him suspiciously, not liking where Dominic was going with this.

Dominic came to sit back at Orlando’s desk with a wicked grin now plastered across his face. “I don’t like that look, what is it?” Orlando stammered out.

"I'm still willing to forgive you."

"Well that's great!" Orlando stated cautiously still hinting Dom's mischievousness. But he humored him anyway.

"Yea it is, Billy will come back to me soon as he realize what he's been missing."

"See, I knew you would see the bright side of things." Orlando cheered encouragingly.

Dominic then turned him a sharp look, "With your help of course. Two can play this game." Dominic said confidently.

"Dom, you really think this is all a game? You can't seriously still think this is a facade, you know Billy isn't like that."

"Maybe not, but what does E.L.I.J.A.H have that I don't?! He'll be mine again, Orli, with or without your help I just need to find someone to go along with me."

"You're going to attempt to make him jealous?"

"Precisely!" Orlando shook his head, "Ok, so if I'm to agree to help you; you must tell me who is the unsuspecting bloke that's suppose to help you with this ridiculous charade?"

Dominic leaned in, "See that's where you come in my friend."

"Oh, nooo, Dommie, you must be joking. Billy will kill me, and what will I look like dating you, I have a boyfriend!"

Dominic began laughing.

Dominic sighed irritably, "Orlando put your ego aside for five minutes."

Orlando was noticeably unamused.

"I mean you're beautiful; your great, but honestly who would believe the thought of you and me. Especially seeing how you're friends with all three of us".

Dominic then lowered his head, "Beside I'm smart enough to know I'm way out of you're league."

Orlando gave him a gentle smile, "Dom." Orlando said sweetly.

"I know, I know."

"So what is it you do want from me then?" Orlando asked again.

"I need someone eligible and willing to help me show Billy I've moved on and to show him once and for all he can't live with me."

"Seems you have it the other way around." Orlando laughed to himself until he saw Dominic's piercing eyes.

"So where is that long list of clients you have."

Orlando began going through his computer database, "Believe me when I say you don't want anything to do with my clients, they are not the best candidates."

"Well, you have to have some folks in that black book of yours."

Orlando noticed Dominic glancing at Eric's picture on his desk, "Those folks don't include, Eric, Dominic!"

"So are you still on and off with the stud?" Orlando nodded, "We're on when I'm horny, we're off when he's being an asshole which is every other time I'm not horny."

They both laughed.

"I think I have one." Dominic blurted out. Orlando was half listing, continuing to scroll down the list of suitors when he finally looked back up to Dominic's unappeased expression.

Orlando broke a smile, "Sorry. Who?"

Dominic scooted closer to Orlando's desk, "What about your friend, Viggo?"

Orlando burst into a fit of laughter. "WHO?! Dommie you're joking right, do you know how old Viggo is?"

Orlando stood up still laughing although it was only a face for Dom, he couldn't fathom the thought of Viggo being with anyone else even for joke.

"It's not that funny." Orlando went over to stare out the window.

"Yes, Dominic it is. Viggo is not about to play these childish games with you, I'm sorry but you're going to have to find someone else."

Dominic got up and came to stand in front of Orlando, grabbing his wrist, "Hey you owe me, remember?" Dominic said in a pleading voice.

"But Viggo doesn't." Orlando laughed again.

"I know but he will do this if you ask him, he will do anything you for you."

"I don't know, Viggo is so serious about everything I don't think he can even get into character for this bull." Orlando said slowly hoping to get Dominic to sway his attention elsewhere without making it so obvious that’s what he wanted him to do.

Dominic went to his backpack and pulled our a pair of binoculars, "Will you just try?!" he ordered more than asked. "I have to go. I heard from a reliable source that the gag fest will be at the Santa Monica beach in thirty minutes." he said in reference to Billy and Elijah.

Orlando eyed the binoculars, "And what are you going to do with those exactly?"

"What do you think? I’m going to make sure there isn't any funny business going on."

Orlando laughed and shook his head, "Just go, Dom. Please."

"And you'll ask, Viggo, right?"

"Yes, I will. But don't get your hopes up." Orlando said ushering him to the door.

"I won't but one good thing about the kind of person Viggo is, Billy won't suspect a thing."

"Just tell me, how long do you expect him to help you keep this up." Orlando said.

"Just until Valentine's Day. Billy will be mine again for sure by then."

"Alright when he gets back, I'll ask him." Orlando agreed feeling his body draining from what he'd obligated himself to do.

Dominic threw his arms around Orlando's neck. "I promise you won't regret this."

Orlando watched him hurry down the hall. Orlando closed the door, he released a sigh still wondering if he had the strength to do what Dominic asked.

Orlando slowly walked over to his fish tank and fed his two goldfish, Starlight and Triton. Who he nicknamed Orlando and Viggo, just for him know. Triton swam to Starlight and their lips met. Orlando smiled imagining it was Viggo’s lips touching his.

Orlando suddenly felt he was no longer the only person in the room. Then he heard that voice that could stop his heart in a second...Viggo's.

“I knew you would be right where I left you.”

Orlando turned around biting his lips, feeling he could just let his eyes linger on the beautiful, clean shaven man, in the Armani suit man before him, for all of eternity. Orlando finally took a step before running into Viggo’s arms. Viggo hugged him so tight lifting him enough to just barely lift him up off his feet.

"So, Cupid, tell me who is in the path of lovers lane today."

Orlando kissed his cheek, "You are!"

Orlando smiled, Viggo caught it and returned it.

"I missed you, Orli."

"I missed you too. But said you weren't coming back until next week." Viggo eased away from Orlando to sit on the edge of the desk.

"That I did, art show ended early and I wanted to surprise you." Viggo reached in his gift bag, “Hey come here I got you something.”

Orlando came to stand in front of him.

“Turn around and close your eyes.”

Orlando slowly did as he said. Viggo extended his hands bringing Orlando’s surprise to clasps around his neck.

“Keep your eyes close.” Viggo whispered, he held Orlando’s shoulders slowly pushing him towards the mirror that hung on the wall in the corner of the office.

“Now open.” Orlando slowly opened his eyes, staring into mirror at the gold necklace with a silver diamond cupid with red wings expanding.

Orlando blushed and turned to face Viggo. “Thanks, Vig. I love it and I love you.” he said wrapping his arms around him again.

"I love you two, sweetie, now come and tell me how you been."

Orlando watched Viggo walk to the couch. He was glad Viggo didn’t catch what he really meant when he said he loved him. But on another note, he was slightly disappointed.

Viggo patted the love-seat's cushion next to him, ushering Orlando to come sit beside him. Viggo began to sense how uneasy Orlando was.

“What is it?” Viggo asked softly.

Orlando shook his head and gave Viggo a warm smile. “Nothing, it’s nothing.” Orlando lied but hope he reassured Viggo enough. He came and sat next to Viggo who put his arm behind Orlando on the couch.

Viggo looked at him for the longest but didn’t press the issue, even though he could feel there was something Orlando wished to tell him. But Viggo knew he would say something when he was ready.

Viggo took a deep exasperated breath and looked past Orlando, “I see somethings haven't changed." He said nodding towards Eric's picture on Orlando's desk. "I see you're still with that jerk!"

Orlando turned to glance at Eric’s picture and back to Viggo. "Viggo, Don't! I’m really not in the mood right now."

"But you can be in the mood to put up with that looser. He's doesn't appreciate you, Orli, and you don't deserve it. He's beneath you."

"I wish you would not make it a 'bash Eric hour' every time we see each other?" Orlando shouted.

Viggo could see Orlando's pulse flaring, he sighed, "Ok, I'm sorry, Baby, I didn't mean to upset you. Just thinking about you with make me angry..." Viggo hesitated, "And I just have to let it out."

Orlando looked at him sympathetically, "Don't worry about it, Vig. I know. Will you just tell me how was the city of love." Orlando leaned his head on Viggo’s arm.

"It’s not really the city of love if you're not there with the person you love."

Orlando met Viggo's eyes while Viggo combed his hand down the back of Orlando's head though his hair.

Finally breaking the awkward silence between the two, Viggo asked, "Why don't we go talk over dinner? Plane food sucks and I just want to spend some time with you." Orlando smiled and nodded as Viggo drugged him from the office.

~*~*~

Viggo took a sip of his water while Orlando ate so fast Viggo was afraid he might choke,

“Hungry?”

Orlando looked up bashfully.

“I haven‘t ate today this is my breakfast, lunch, and dinner.”

Viggo laughed, “If your plan is to starve yourself, I don’t think you can get any skinnier just take your time okay? We don’t want you keeling over, then I’ll have to give you CPR.”

“I bet you’d like that.” Orlando teased.

“Maybe a little.”

They both laughed. Orlando drunk some of his lemonade. “So you didn‘t finish telling me about your trip.”

“It’s gorgeous even though I was working.I took a moment to take in the scenery but places like that, Orli, you want to be with someone special. I wish you could see it.”

Orlando nodded feeling his heart beginning to ache when he asked his next question. “But you still haven’t found the write person yet?”

Viggo broke his eyes away from Orlando’s.

“You know if I had you’d be the first to know, beside sometimes you find the right person but can’t be with them. Love and happiness are two different things, but you can’t one without the other. You should know that better than anyone.”

Orlando knew where Viggo was going with this by his intense gaze. “You’re right, but Vig… ”

Viggo cut him off, “Then why do you put up with it?”

Orlando knew he couldn’t go on for long without the conversation reverting back to Eric.

“I see people’s screwed up ways of love all day long and I don’t understand how something so magical; so special can cause so much pain, I just figure why be in it anyway.”

Viggo began to get angry hearing the distress in Orlando’s voice and across his face. “Now that sounds like Eric talking.” he snapped. "He is making you feel that way, Orli, and it's not right!"

“Viggo, not again!” Orlando snapped.

“I can’t help it. I see what he’s doing to you and I don’t like it! Every since we’ve met, you’ve been the most passionate, warm person I’ve ever known. You wear your heart on your sleeve, I swear I can see hearts flying around your head.”

Orlando slightly smiled and shook his head before Viggo continued on his rant, “But ever since getting involved with that asshole I see everything that makes you who you are deteriorate and I won’t let that happen to my best friend.”

Orlando’s heart began to feel heavy as tears danced under his eyes while he twirled the last strands of his spaghetti. He listened to Viggo’s voice that also begin to crack.

“I just want the best for you.” Viggo looked deep in thought like there was a million things he wanted to say to Orlando but only had a short amount of time. He paused looking down avoiding Orlando’s eyes.

“I want you to be happy.” Viggo admitted.

The brown, curly haired, blue eyed, petite waitress came to ask if everything was alright, Orlando looked down trying to hide his tears.

Viggo gave her a warm smile, “Yea, we’re fine, can I get the check?” She nodded, eying Orlando curiously and left.

Viggo sighed, “Don’t get yourself worked up over this.” Viggo reached under his chin, trailing his thumb across his cheek wiping the tears from his face. “I know the truth hurts, baby.”

Orlando pushed Viggo’s hand away from his face, hating Viggo’s egotistical sense of comfort.

“No, that’s just your warped perception of the truth. You know, you never liked Eric but I love him and I’m with him, that’s not going to change no matter how much you bad mouth him.”

“Orlando, but…” Viggo started.

“No stop it! I mean it.” Orlando shouted stubbornly.

Viggo could see he was really pushing Orlando to the edge. “Alright, alright, I’m sorry I just want the best for you.” Viggo said patting his leg. “I hope you know that.”

“I know, old man.” Orlando said itching closer to Viggo so he could wrap his arms around his neck, “Lets not fight, okay? Especially about Eric. I hate it when we do.”

Viggo kissed his forehead but reluctantly nodded. The two men were silent until Orlando bit into his cheesecake and Viggo sipped his soup.

Orlando looked up while Viggo still ate, “Vig, I need a favor.” Viggo could hear the hesitation in his voice, he smirked. “Whatever it is, I can tell you don’t want to ask it. You don’t have a body in your trunk or something like that, do you?”

Orlando laughed uncontrollably causing eyes to shoot at him from every direction, “No!” he said, easing his giggles.

“Ok, then tell me what kind of favor?” Viggo said drinking his water.

“Oh it's nothing major, I just kinda, sorta need you to date Dommie for a while.”

Viggo almost choked on his water. But then put on an amused smile that ascended into laughter. “Thank you but no thank you, I don’t need you to play matchmaker for me, babe, I’m perfectly fine being single.”

Orlando widen his eyes beginning to get angry that Viggo would suggest such a thing. “I’m not matchmaking you to Dominic!”

Viggo laughed. “What’s so funny?”

Viggo trailed his tongue across his lips looking into Orlando’s eyes, “You! And how adorable you are.”

Orlando laughed shyly, “Shut up, Viggo.” He teased.

Viggo loved the way he could get Orlando to smile. Yet that irresistible smile could get Viggo to do anything.

“Now, Dominic, Dominic...” Viggo began to think, “Hey he’s the short one isn’t he?”

“They’re all short, Viggo.”

“Yea, but isn’t he dating the other short one?” Viggo asked.

“Billy!” Orlando snapped, before laughing.

“Yea, you know how I am with names, Orli, I’m getting old you know.”

“Whatever you’re still making heads turn. Just look around the restaurant.”

Viggo blushed, but he wanted to tell Orlando the only head he wanted to turn was his. “Thanks, so what’s going on with those two causing you to need my help?”

“Billy’s dating Elijah.”

“Ok, and?” Viggo said amusingly.

“Dom wants to make him jealous and will you stop laughing.”

Viggo shook his head, “Aren’t the four of you a little too old to play the jealousy game?”

“Naw, never to old to play that game. You’re making a show. That’s it! Besides, it’s partly my fault Dom and Billy broke up.”

Viggo laughed, “You? Responsible for breaking up a couple? No…”

Orlando sucked his teeth, “I know, right and I feel terrible about it.”

Orlando propped his head up on the table, looking like a lost puppy.

“Ok, Orli, I’m just going to humor you if I agree to do this and I’m not saying I am, how long is this suppose to go on?”

Orlando looked over to him, “Just a few weeks until Valentine‘s Day, Dommie assured me Billy will realize he can’t live without him; then he will shout out his love from the rooftop and they will get back together and live happily ever after.”

Orlando mocked dramatically making Viggo laughed.

“Well you summed that up in a nutshell.”

Viggo ran his hands tightly across his face knowing full well he faces defeat anywhere Orlando is concerned, he sighed. Against his better judgment he agreed, “Fine, Orli, the things I do for you. Three weeks.”

Orlando leaned in to kiss his cheek, “Three weeks.”

I won't judge Eric until I can see him in this story, means the next chapter is required quite badly.
