I'll be awake tonight.

Just watching you, those worries etched onto your once unmarked countenance fade away, and for just a little while I can immagine we're back in that secret, old story place. The wrinkles over your brow smooth over, the hallows on your cheeks aren't as sharp, and your lashes graze that soft, delicate skin that so often during the days is smudged with blue.

The sound of your breath fills our room, every so often your breath hitches, and your face once again regains its hollywood scars, you clutch at your pillow and I stop breathing, willing you to fight, whatever brought those scars back to the surface.

In your sleep you always win.

And I'll be awake every night we can steal together.

Yeah, I get what you're saying and thanks! It's almost 4 AM where I live, and I just wrote the darn drabble, I went over it about five times and I still think there's some mistakes in there :P
