Chapter 15
Viggo pulled up in front of the restaurant so Orlando would be able to see him once he came out the door after he had gotten off work. He had driven around for hours after his confrontaion with Chloe till it was time to pick Orlando up. He couldn’t go back home, not with her still there. He didn’t trust himself to keep calm in light of her recent threats to Orlando. He hoped she wasn’t so far gone that she would actually hurt him. He could take anything done or said about himself, but his Orlando, no.
Viggo looked in the rearview mirror inside the car. He saw what he had suspected, the swelling and bruising forming around the cut on his lip. At least it had finally stopped bleeding. He had been concerned for a while and was afraid he would have to suture his own lip, which would have been awkward. Well at least it would match the scar on the other side of his mouth he thought with a wry laugh. He was certain that would be the first thing that Orlando would notice when he got into the car, since it was on the right side of his face. He now took notice of the small scratch marks on his cheek. They were faint, but they were still there from her nails as she clawed him across the face.
Viggos thoughts were interrupted by the door opening and he could see Orlando’s lithe form coming towards the car. He smiled and then stopped instantly when the smile spread the cut and stung. “Shit,” he murmured as he ran his hand up to his lips and found a small amount of blood oozing again. He quickly grabbed a hankie and covered the wound and turned his gaze back to the door as it was being opened.
“Hey,” Orlando said with a sigh as he sat down in the seat next to him.
“Hi,” Viggo mumbled through his hankie.
“Why are you holding a hankie to your lips?” he asked with a raised brow.
“Um..had a little accident,” he replied as he put the car in drive and pulled out of the space he had parked in. The overhead light in the car had now automatically turned off so they were basically in the dark and Viggo felt safe enough that he could lower the hankie without any questions from Orlando.
“So…Where are we going?” he asked as he shifted nervously in his seat.
“I’m not really sure,” Viggo replied with a laugh as he turned onto another street.
“Are we just going to drive around all night?” Orlando asked laughing.
Viggo shrugged his shoulders, “I didn’t really plan on any certain place, just to get away.”
Orlando nodded and looked out the window as the scenery went by. “We could um…go back to my place,” he said quietly.
Viggo turned suddenly at the unexpected suggestion to see if Orlando was pulling his leg. “You’re joking right?” he asked.
Orlando lowered his head and replied softly, “No, I’m not joking.”
Viggo turned the next corner back to the direction of Orlando’s apartment. “You sure?” he asked.
“Yeah, I’m sure,” he said as he looked over at Viggo. It was then he noticed the cut on his lip as the car drove under a streetlight. “Viggo! My God! What happened?” he gasped sharply as he went to bring his hand up to the cut on his lip.
“Oh, just a minor incident,” he answered.
Orlando moved his hand up next to the cut, but not touching. “How?” he asked again softly this time.
Viggo looked straight ahead, “Chloe,” he answered.
“She did that!” he asked shocked.
“Yeah. She was rather upset when I turned up at the house after I left you earlier.”
“Gods Viggo, I’m sorry,” he murmured tenderly. “Does it hurt much?”
“Only when I smile,” he replied and looked at Orlando and tried not to smile too much. But moaned when he did.
“Oh Viggo,” Orlando said quietly with a sigh. “I’m so sorry,” he reached his fingers against the lip gently. “Do you need stitches in it?”
“Almost, but I think it will be okay. At least it has stopped bleeding,” he replied, relishing the feeling of Orlando’s fingers gently touching his lip.
“Did she mention me at all?” he asked shyly.
Viggo let a small snort pass his lips, “Yeah, kinda.”
Orlando frowned. “What did she say?”
“I’ll tell you when we get to your place okay?” Viggo replied.
“Okay,” Orlando said as he brought his hand to Viggos cheek. “She scratched you here too didn’t she?”
“Yeah, she got me there too,” he replied as he turned and looked at Orlando and saw the concern on his face. “Don’t worry about it Orlando. I’m fine, really. It’s nothing I didn’t deserve.”
“No one deserves to be hit Viggo,” he answered sternly. “No matter what the reason.”
“Not even a cheating spouse?” he asked with a raised brow.
Orlando opened his mouth to answer and then closed it again thinking. “No,” he said at last. “Not even that. Besides, it’s not like you cheated, cheated.”
“Cheated, cheated?” Viggo asked trying not to laugh.
Orlando blushed, “You know what I mean,” he said his cheeks flushing.
“Enlighten me,” Viggo persisted.
Orlando grunted in annoyance. “Well… there is cheating, which is what we did, and then there is cheating cheated like going all the way, which we…um… obviously didn’t.”
“And you believe that?” he asked.
“No,” he replied quietly, “I guess any cheating is cheating no matter what the cheating consisted of.”
“So what you’re saying is since I cheated I may as well cheated thoroughly if I was going to cheat since one is as bad as the other?”
Orlando sat there quietly for a moment. He couldn’t help the smile that started to form on his face. “I suppose you’re right,” he finally answered.
Viggo glanced at him as he drove down the road and grinned. Orlando was so adorable. “You’re adorable,” he said out loud.
“I’m not,” he answered trying to look insulted.
“You are,” Viggo insisted.
“Didn’t we have this conversation before?” he asked giggling.
“I think we did,” Viggo answered with a small smile as he pulled around the corner and eased into Orlando’s parking spot. “What was the outcome?”
Orlando thought seriously for a moment. “I have no fucking idea,” he said laughing finally.
“But seriously,” Viggo continued, “Some people even feel that it’s even cheating to be thinking about cheating.
Orlando bit at his lower lip thinking about this new thought. “I think I need a drink if we are going to have an in-depth conversation about this,” he said as he got out of the car.
Viggo nodded in agreement and got out as well. They walked side by side down the little sidewalk until Orlando stood in front of his apartment door. His nerves were coming back to him now that they were finally there.
Viggo looked at the young man waiting for him to unlock the door to let them in but saw the hesitation. “Did you change your mind?” he rasped softly near Orlando’s ear. “It’s okay if you did.”
Orlando shivered slightly at the tone of Viggos question. ‘Had he?’ he asked himself. ‘No,’ he knew what he was doing when he had invited Viggo to his place. “No,” he replied finally as he inserted the key into the lock and pushed the door open and stepped inside.
Viggo followed behind him closely wondering about the hesitation. He knew Orlando must be nervous, had to be because he certainly was! “At least I don’t have to carry you in this time,” he laughed trying to lighten the mood again.
Orlando face broke into a grin. “Yeah, like you had to actually carry me in,” he said.
“Almost!” Viggo laughed sitting down on the couch and thinking about the last time he was there.
Orlando huffed as he headed to the fridge and opened it looking at the near empty contents. He grabbed a couple of beers and headed into the living room and handed Viggo one and then he sat down on the couch near him. He opened the bottle quickly and downed a big gulp.
“Thirsty?” Viggo asked with a laugh as he opened his own bottle.
“Yeah well, I’ve had a rough day,” he replied as he took another swig.
Viggo looked down almost guiltily. “Yeah you did,” he replied. “I’m sorry.”
“Nah Viggo,” he said realizing he had made Viggo feel worse than he already was. “Its Chloe’s fault not yours.”
“But it’s still my fault since she is my wife… at least for a while that is.”
Orlando pursed his lips, “So you asked her for a divorce then?”
“Yeah I did,” Viggo replied. “She wasn’t very happy about it, especially since a young stud was involved.”
“Hmmm,” Orlando squeaked out a noise as he took a drink. “Young stud eh?”
“Definitely,” Viggo replied as he took a drink. “A very hot, young stud.”
Orlando felt the color in his cheeks turn up a couple of notches. “So,” he replied after another long drink. “She is going to go along with it?”
Viggo started laughing. “No,” he answered firmly. “In fact just the opposite. She said she would make my life a living hell.” He didn’t add that she would do the same for Orlando. He didn’t want to worry him if he didn’t have to.
Orlando played with the bottle in his hands as he thought about the reasons for making it a living hell on Viggo and he knew he was the only reason for that. “Sorry,” he said quietly. “You could tell her it was all a big mistake and that you’ve learned your lesson as it were, and that you would never see me again.”
“What?” Viggo asked confused. “Why the hell would I do that?”
“I…I don’t want you to lose everything because of me Viggo,” he replied quietly. “She can ruin your reputation, take everything you own.”
“Orlando, look at me,” he insisted as he sat his bottle down on the table.
Orlando glanced up through the flutter of long lashes, but his eyes looked back down again.
Viggo scooted closer to him and tilted the delicate chin up until he could gaze into the chocolate brown eyes. “All that I have means nothing to me if I’m not happy. And I didn’t become happy until I met you. You are all that I care about and all that I need.”
Orlando closed his eyes as Viggos words sunk in. They meant more to him then anything that Viggo had said to him so far. He felt the fingers that were on his chin gently stroke the side of his face, leaving a hot streak as they trailed down from his high cheekbone back down to his chin. He swallowed around the lump forming in his threat and licked his suddenly very dry lips.
Viggo watched the emotions on Orlando’s face as he accepted the caress along his cheek without pulling away. He almost moaned when he saw the pink tongue dart out and wet his perfect lips.
“Orlando, I mean it,” he leaned forward and whispered in his ear. “You’re everything I’ve ever wanted; I would give up anything for you.”
“You can’t,” he whispered. “I’m..I’m not worth it.”
“But don’t you see?” Viggo replied. “You are worth it. So much more than anything I own. I haven’t known you very long, but something inside me came alive when I first saw you. And before you say it was just lust, I know better than that. It’s you…just you.”
Orlando felt a small tear fall free out the corner of his eye, the emotions he felt inside him were becoming to strong for him to hold it in much longer.
“Don’t cry baby,” Viggo soothed as he kissed the tear that had fallen from his eye. “I love you; it will all work out, really, I promise.”
Orlando nodded his head slowly and leaned against Viggo.
Viggo closed his eyes and enjoyed the feel of Orlando leaning against him. He turned his head and kissed Orlando’s ear and felt the shudder that swept through Orlando’s body. He pulled back slightly and their foreheads pressed gently together.
“Can I kiss you Orlando?” he rasped, his breath warm against Orlando’s face.
“Please,” he murmured softly.
Viggo moved his lips slowly down to meet with Orlando’s, waiting for the youth to pull away, but he didn’t, and Viggo felt his hands shake as he cradled the sweet face between them and leaned in to lightly kiss them.
Orlando’s heart beat wildly inside his chest as he waited for Viggo to kiss him. He wanted this kiss so badly. He trembled as Viggos hands gently held his face and his head swam as Viggo pressed his lips to his. It had meant a lot to Orlando that Viggo has asked this time if he could kiss him. He knew now that Viggo felt more for him then just lust or a fling. He pressed his lips to Viggo’s in return and he moaned softly at the gentle touch.
Viggo finally pulled away and Orlando’s lips followed his, enticing him to lean in again and press more firmly this time. The pressure was returned with Orlando opening his mouth and letting his sweet tongue swipe across Viggo’s lips.
Viggo’s heart felt like it would explode it was beating so rapidly as Orlando’s tongue traced his lips. This kiss wasn’t an unconscious kiss like before. This was agreed upon and accepted without any agenda.
Orlando flicked his tongue against his lips again and Viggo opened his mouth and let Orlando’s tongue into his own mouth to claim him. Orlando’s arms wrapped around Viggos neck, pulling him closer as they kissed and explored each others mouths. They only heard the sounds of lips kissing, soft moans and panted breaths as the kiss became more passionate.
Viggo finally pulled away and gasped loudly. His chest heaving. “God Orlando,” he groaned running his hands through the thick dark hair, gazing at the lidded eyes, the red lips and the heated cheeks.
Orlando dark lashes fluttered open and looked into Viggos blue eyes. “I want you,” he whispered.
