Fist Fights and Realizations
Sean jumped as Orlando slammed his bedroom door. Viggo soon followed by slamming the sliding door that lead outside. Taking deep breaths he tried to calm himself and figure out how this went wrong. Hell, he knew how it went wrong; he should have kept his mouth shut. He wasn’t sure why he was acting this way but some how the thought of not having Orli around was causing him more pain than he would like but also the thought of not having Viggo was doing the same. Roughly running his hands through his hair he decided it was time to talk to Viggo. This had to be settled once and for all.
Stalking out the door and on to the beach Viggo had been lucky enough to get a house on, he looked for the target of his anger. There he was standing in the surf, shoulders slumped, fists clinched and staring out into the water. He could see the anger radiating off of him and for some reason that made him even angrier. His walk down the sand was swift and full of intent and when he finally reached Viggo he put a hand on his shoulder and spun him around, nearly toppling him over.
Viggo growled and caught himself before falling into the surf, giving Sean a hard shove backwards. “What the fuck is your problem?”
“You Viggo! You’re my bloody problem!” Sean snarled and pushed him back. Though neither man really knew why, fists started flying, limbs flailing and bodies hit the ground with a grunt. Each connected about an equal number of punches to the other, rolling on the sand in a fight for dominance. After several long minuets both began to slow. “Fuck!” Sean gasped as he rolled off of Viggo on to his back, panting for breath.
Viggo brought his hand to his face and wiped some of the blood off his mouth. “Ow,” he laughed sadly.
“We really need to talk.”
“Yeah we do if you didn’t break my fuckin’ jaw,” he said as he rubbed it. After a bit of silence he decided it was now or never. “Listen I know you love Orli. I want to be there for him, for both of you through this but as soon as it’s over I’ll go; if he doesn’t hate me already.”
Sean’s head snapped toward Viggo when he heard those words. He groaned and smacked his head down in the sand. “Viggo, Orlando loves you, not me. He just feels safe with me and I think that’s because he doesn’t see me as a partner.” He wasn’t gay so why did admitting that make his heart hurt so much?
Viggo looked at him to gauge the honesty in his words and saw just that in his face but he also swore he saw disappointment as well. “I’m not sure you’re right about that. He can’t keep his hands off of you. Hell he won’t let me near him. He hates me Sean, I’m the one who caused all of this,” his voice cracked as tears filled his eyes.
He watched as Viggo sat up and hugged his knees to his chest and cried. “Viggo,” he shook his head and sat up with him holding him close. “This is not your fault! You can’t blame yourself for it!” He took his face in his hands and forced him to look at him. “This is no one’s fault but Dan and his bastard friends, Viggo. You have to forgive yourself for doubting your own feelings or you’re going to drive Orli away.”
Viggo took the offered comfort and leaned into Sean’s embrace. “You don’t understand. I waited to tell Orlando how I felt because I was in love with two people and I know that can’t be possible but being with both of them just feels so right,” another sob escaped him. “I have never felt this way about anyone in my life and now it’s for two people and I feel like I am betraying them both! God what is wrong with me?”
Sean feels Viggo’s body go rigid and realizes that not only was he going through this tragedy with Orli and new feelings but was also angry at himself. He held Viggo tight and kissed the top of his head. Speaking softly, barely loud enough to be heard over the breaking waves, “I don’t think there is anything wrong with you Viggo. I think that loving two people at once is rare and doesn’t happen often but I believe it is possible. I also believe you are smarter then anyone I know because you realized what you felt.” He felt Viggo move his head and look up at him though he refused to meet his gaze, choosing instead to look into the ocean. “You didn’t wait until it was too late to do anything about your feelings,” as hard as he fought them tears still spilled from his eyes at his realization. He had truly fucked his life up. He lost the two men he loved all because Sean Bean was to macho to realize he could love a man. He sighed and looked at Viggo, “It’s not to late to show him you love him Viggo. Go up there, hold his hand, kiss him, and let him know that you want him. He will tell you if he’s comfortable with it, in fact I think it’s just what he needs to know that he is loved and has not changed in your eyes.” Turning away from him and looking back into the ocean, “Go, before you really do lose him.”
Viggo couldn’t believe what he had just heard nor what he was seeing. Sean was so vulnerable and sad that it nearly broke his heart and he realized that he was right. This needed to happen now or it never would. He could only hope Orlando was strong enough to go through this because he would be heart broken if he lost him. Standing he took Sean’s hand and pulled him to his feet.
Sean groaned when Viggo pulled him up. “What the fuck are you doing?” he asked as he was led into the water. “Fuck Viggo it’s bloody cold!”
Viggo grabbed Sean around the waist as he tried to retreat from the cold ocean and dumped him into the water. When he came up sputtering and angry Vig held up his hand, “we need to get clean and we don’t have time to shower. The blood will scare the hell out of Orli.” He explained quickly.
After he dunked Viggo in retaliation, holding him under a bit longer then necessary he smiled. “I see your point but YOU were the one who needed to be clean not me!” he shouted as his teeth chattered.
Viggo followed Sean out of the water, both shivering like wet dogs. “You were right about talking this out and that’s just what we are going to do.”
“Good,” Sean smiled as he tried to rub some warmth back in his arms.
“You are coming with me. This involves you too,” he informed him as he pulled him into the house. Leaving a wet trail on the tile in the mudroom they both got dry clothes out of the dryer and changed.
“Viggo I’m not sure what you’re trying to do here but this doesn’t involve me.” His comment was answered with a glare.
Orlando slammed the bedroom door so hard he made himself jump. What was he going to do now? Feeling hopeless he flopped down on the bed and sobbed until he had no more tears left. He looked at the bottle in his hand and debated on taking several of the little white pills but decided that even taking one would be a bad idea. What if he went to sleep and couldn’t wake up from his nightmare. He would have to live the attack over and over again. The very thought sent chills up his spine and he threw the bottle across the room. He sat, still staring at the wall when the door burst open revealing a very battered and wet Viggo and Sean.
