It drives me crazy if I see gifs or (even worse) some quotes taken out of context without any chance to go back to the original source because the poster doesn't provide a link.

I feel you, I have seen too many posts like that on tumblr, unfortunately. About quotes, I feel the same. Now, if the article just doesn't exist anymore, but the source is written, that's fine by me. But if it exist, linking to the whole interview is always nice.

Exactly! If the source isn't there anymore, well, bad luck, but I at least want to know WHERE it came from originally.

With pics I'm not too picky, since most of them are easy to find with a picture-search if I really want to know where they are from, but particularly quotes can be a bitch to find if you have no idea where it might have come from, and a google search shows pages upon page of results (or none at all).
