Karl continued to stare down at Viggo nursing Orlando from the top of the stairs with overwhelming contempt. He’d lost Viggo once to the curly haired doe-eyed man, and once was enough. He swore he’d never let that happen again. Karl turned and went to his room, leaving Orlando and Viggo to their muffled whispers and giggles.

~*~*~

Viggo tried his best to stay out of Orlando’s way, mostly because so much as a glance at the young man threatened to send Karl into a frenzy. But even when Orlando was out of sight, Viggo still couldn’t get him out of his mind. Orlando knew that too, and he made himself impossible to avoid for Viggo.

Viggo was in his office, his eyes rising from his brown leather journal he was writing in when he saw Orlando’s figure peek around the door. “What is it, Orli?” he asked, trying to sound slightly annoyed. Even though he knew Orlando would start on him sooner or later.

Orlando smiled mischievously, entering the room in his baby blue collared shirt and navy blue cargo hiking shorts. He looked at Viggo and pushed the door close behind him, locking it. Viggo looked back down and continued writing in an attempt to tune out whatever Orlando planning on doing. Determined not to be ignored, Orlando came and placed his hands on the edge of Viggo’s desk and leaned over so he could see what the older man was writing.

“Whatcha doin?” Orlando asked, trying to make out the cursive writing from upside down.

“What does it look like?” Viggo responded as he continued writing, forcing himself not to look up. Even though Orlando's warm presence was weakening his strength.

“Are you writing something about me?” Orlando chirped assertively.

Viggo briefly stopped writing and spoke but continued to look down, “I know it doesn’t seem like it, but not everything I do revolves around you, my beautiful young friend. Sorry to smash your ego.”

Orlando leaned in, until he was almost hovering over Viggo's head, “It used to, or have you forgotten that?" He remarked.

Viggo lifted his eyes off the paper, tilting his head to finally meet Orlando’s eyes, "I'm not the one who forgot." he responded more harshly than intended making Orlando ease his way to standing position against Viggo's desk. Orlando's sullen expression cautioned Viggo to steer this conversation away from any unpleasantness for either of them. So he sat his pen on top of his journal and leaned back in his chair, placing his hands behind his head, showing Orlando he now had his undivided attention, "What can I do for you, Orli?"

Orlando's long face changed into a into a seductive one as his mouth curled into a teasing smile. Orlando eyed Viggo’s upper torso, his white shirt already loose at the collar, rolled up at the arms. Orlando wanted him badly. Viggo watched as he slowly began walking around his desk, gliding his fingers around the edge. Viggo didn’t move, he just let his eyes follow Orlando until he no longer saw him. Now Viggo felt Orlando behind him. Orlando ran his hands up Viggo’s shoulders, slowly he began to massage them. Viggo leaned to the side, letting his arms drops. “Orli, Please...” Viggo begged but Orlando paid no attention and leaned in to whisper against his ear, “It’s not what you can do for me, Vig...” He breathed, kissing Viggo’s earlobe. Which made the older man, shut his eyes at the sensation that already begun to wash over him. Orlando slid his hands down Viggo broad shoulders, then began to snake his hands under his arms so he could begin unbuttoning his shirt. Now with Viggo’s shirt completely open, Orlando ran his hands along his muscled chest. Viggo was screaming at himself to make Orlando stop. Karl would be back any minute. But Orlando was riling Viggo’s hormones, and Viggo was feeling helpless to to shop him. The way he kissed his neck, the way his hands streamed up his chest. The way he teased his nipples...All had Viggo’s body calling. Orlando walked back around to stand in front Viggo. He slowly started unbuttoning his own shirt...“It’s what you can do to me.” Orlando continued from his earlier statement.

Viggo looked up at him helplessly, “Orli, don’t...Don’t start this up again.” he pleaded.

Orlando put a finger to his lips, pushing the journal aside. He sat on the desk towards Viggo, so he was facing the older man with his legs on each side of him. “Start what, Baby? If you really don’t think about me all day and all night, what I’m doing now shouldn’t bother you, right?” Orlando said challengingly, letting his unbutton shirt hang open to reveal his smooth golden chest.

Viggo looked him up and down, his body tensing, and his pulse racing. Orlando slid from the desk to flop on Viggo’s lap, Viggo immediately growing harder than he was already. He shut his eyes once more as Orlando loosened his belt, Orlando started trailing his tongue down the side of Viggo’s face, their bare chests like fire against each other. Viggo let his hands glide up Orlando’s lean back, cupping the back of his neck while he kissed the front. He wanted to be inside him so bad. It was becoming too much and he knew it was taking everything in him no to take Orlando right there on his desk. Orlando slipped his hand inside Viggo’s now loosened pants and began slowly jerking him off, Viggo leaned his head back. Orlando was grinding on him so hard as he stroked him that they rolled the chair back against the wall, smashing into the blinds. Orlando unfasten the fly of his shorts, “Touch me, Vig.”

“Orli, baby please...” Viggo begged but still brought his hands around to slip in Orlando’s pants. It had been so long since he touched him, so long since he felt him. But this was wrong, so wrong. That’s when he snapped, “Orlando, stop it!” Viggo demanded trying to push him away but Orlando was relentless in trying to get Viggo to succumb to his temptation.

Viggo knew he was fighting a loosing battle but right now, he felt he had the upper hand, “Orli, cut it out, will you!” he said grabbing Orlando’s forearms. Viggo lifted him enough so he could stand up, and Orlando sat back on the desk leaning back.

Viggo stared down at him, “I’m not up for these games. Look, you can stay here as long as you want. But this...” Viggo argued, waving his finger between him and Orlando, “...Is not happening.” Orlando straightened up his clothes and gave Viggo a brief frown.

Viggo looped his belt back into place. “Now please go play.” He said looking away.

Orlando flushed at what Viggo was implying.

Orlando hopped off the desk, “I’m not a little kid anymore, Viggo!” Orlando yelled. Viggo turned back to him and Orlando continued, “You should know that better then anyone, you are the one who took my virginity.” He thought he’d said too much when he saw Viggo’s serious expression.

“Fine,” Viggo said. “I don’t care what you do, just leave me alone for now.”

Orlando pouted and started to walk towards the door, but his love for Viggo would never just let him walk away. He turned back to face him. “You don’t get it do you, you make me do things I would never do, you make me fucking crazy, Viggo. You say I’m childish, that I’m playing games...Fine, whatever. But know this, this is a game you won’t win.” he promised, before storming out of the office. Viggo went and sat back down his chair and let out a deep, exasperated breath. Orlando was right; he had permanent place in Viggo’s heart and denying that was to deny that the stars shine.

*~*~*

Eric was sitting in a chair on his porch reading the morning newspaper when Karl pulled into the driveway behind his car.

Karl got out the car and started berating Eric with a loud, “What in the hell is the matter with
you?!” He stalked up onto the porch looking down at Eric with a scowl.

Eric glanced at him and went back to the paper. “Nice to see you too,” he retorted.

“Cut the shit, Eric! Why is YOUR boyfriend at MY house instead of here with you?”

“Oh that.” Eric said flipping the page.

“Yes that.” Karl said, finally taking a seat opposite him. “He called Viggo last night crying, he told him you kicked him out.”

Eric started laughing.

Karl frowned. “What could possibly be funny?”

“I didn’t kick him out,” Eric admitted lightly.

“You didn’t?” Karl asked, his agitation with Eric subsiding.

“No! Don’t be ridiculous.” He sat the paper aside and stood up, turning to face Karl. “He came home late, we got into an argument about ‘guess who,’ and then we had sex. Afterward, while he was getting dressed, we started another argument about trust issues. He asked me, 'If I trusted him,' and I said, 'Where Viggo is concerned, no I didn't,' and I felt like I had been struggling with that question for years. Well then he told me,‘If you have problem with it, then we could just end this relationship now, because I won’t end my friendship with Viggo. I swear, Karl, I could have hit him. So I said, 'But Viggo is,'' He turned around gave me a smirk and said, 'Yes,' So I asked, Then why are you here with me?' He gave me a slight smile and said, 'That's a good question,'. You know the rest; he called your house with his sob story. He must have done that after he packed his bags and left.”

Karl grew angry. “So he lied.”

Eric looked at Karl like it was about time his friend woke up, “Uh, yea, I would have never kicked him out. Believe it or not, I love him even though I never really had him. The same way you will never have Viggo.”

“Viggo is in my bed!” Karl boasted, like that was a great achievement.

“Actually you’re in his,” Eric teasingly reminded him.

Karl ignored him, “I just don’t get what the Hell is so appealing about that little piece of shit.”

“You really want to know?” Eric asked sneakily with a wink.

Karl’s eyes turned on him and he shouted, “NO!”

Eric laughed, “The truth is I’m glad I’m out of this square, so I will leave the now triangle to it’s own accord, and I wish you the best of luck. You’re going to need it because after everything he still has Viggo wrapped around his finger.” Eric leaned against the porch fence staring out into the neighborhood before turning back to Karl and continued, “And he’s such a fucking manipulator...” He hesitated before going on, “...but I guess he learned from the best, right?” Eric added coldly.

Karl and Eric’s eyes lingered on each other before Karl broke into a wicked smile. “Yea, I guess he did.”

*~*~*

Viggo looked out the front window, eyeing Orlando, who was laying on his back in the grass reading A Time To Kill. Viggo watched him a few moments before accompanying him. Upon arrival, he stood over the young man.

“You’re blocking my sun,” Orlando stated, not looking up from the book he was reading in an attempt to get back at Viggo for ignoring him earlier. Viggo took the book away, making Orlando frown.

Viggo smiled at him. “Why are you so cute when you’re mad?”

Orlando rolled his eyes, “Why are you out here? I’m doing what you told me to do, which is leave you alone,” he said reaching up to snatch the book back from Viggo and turned once more onto his stomach.

Viggo sighed and sat down next to Orlando before laying down on his back and looking up at Orlando who was holding himself up on his elbows. Orlando couldn’t help but to look over at Viggo, which was Viggo’s intent. Orlando wished he could be distracted, but when Viggo snuggled next to him with eyes looking miserable and apologetic, Orlando couldn’t help but break a smile. “Why can’t I stay mad at you?” he asked.

“You tell me,” Viggo told him, wanting to hear the words come out Orlando’s mouth.

“Because I love you.” Orlando replied softly.

Viggo nodded. “So does that mean you forgive me?” he asked, propping himself up on one elbow.

Orlando brushed his leg against Viggo’s. “Maybe. Give me a kiss first.”

“Orli, you’re relentless.” Viggo said even though he couldn’t help but blush. Viggo leaned his head back down in the grass.

“And I always will be when it comes to you, so please.” Orlando said, not remotely ashamed to beg.

“We played these games when you were a teenager.” Viggo reminded him

Orlando leaned over to Viggo. “Yes, but I’m not a teenager anymore, am I?” he said before giving him a lingering kiss on the lips which Viggo didn’t resist. Orlando let his hand slip between Viggo’s legs as a moan escaped into his mouth. The the other hand, he ran through Viggo’s hair. Viggo ran his hands up Orlando’s shirt, teasing his nipples, snaking their way around his back, pulling him tight against him. The two men were so oblivious to the world around them that they did not hear the footsteps in the grass.

“You two better calm down.”

Orlando and Viggo looked up, startled. Viggo used his hands as a visor to see the speaker. It was Sean. Orlando rolled off Viggo, who was shocked and relieved that it wasn’t Karl.

Orlando smiled up at him. Viggo hopped up and then turned to pull Orlando up. “Hey, Sean,” Viggo said, hugging him.

“Beanie I’m so happy you’re back,” Orlando said sweetly, giving him a hug also.

“Yea, my meeting was cut short. But let’s not focus on me right now, what is going on with you two?” Sean asked suspiciously.

Orlando looked at Viggo. “Nothing, we were just fooling around.”

Viggo shook his head at how effortlessly Orlando could lie.

“Right.” Sean looked at Viggo to see if he was going to back up Orlando’s story, but Viggo’s eyes betrayed him. Sean smiled, amused at how easy it was for Orlando to still get to Viggo.

“Anyways, I hear he’s staying with you.” Sean said looking at Viggo.

Viggo flinched, “How’d you find out?”

“Viggo, c’mon. I could be a million miles away and find out what’s going on in this neighborhood. But if you must know, the twins Dominic and Elijah told me.”

Orlando laughed. “They’re not twins.”

“Oh, they might as well be. Now Viggo explain.” Sean ordered lightly with a slight smile.

“Um...” Before Viggo could answer, the phone rang.

Orlando jumped, shouting “I’ll get it!” as he ran into the house.

*~*~*

“Hello?” Orlando answered.

“Let me talk to Viggo!” Karl demanded harshly, which Orlando was used to by now.

“You don’t have to be so rude.” Orlando replied.

“It’s my house, I don’t need to be nice to you,” Karl snapped.

“Well you might want to be.” Orlando said confidently.

“I swear I’m gonna...” Karl began, but Orlando cut him off.

“Do nothing! What are you calling for anyway, to make sure I haven’t bedded your boyfriend? Don’t worry, not today I haven’t.” Orlando laughed, mockingly.

“Just put Viggo on the phone!” Karl demanded, getting more irritated by the second.

“He’s busy!” Orlando said and hung up.

All Karl heard now was the dial tone.

*~*~*

“Why do you constantly lead him on, Viggo? Are you going to leave Karl?” Sean asked concerned for the well being of the younger man.

Viggo lowered his eyes. “No, it’s just...I don’t know.”

“I know you can’t help it, you still love Orli.” Sean replied understandingly.

Viggo was silent as he nodded in agreement.

“But are you sure this is a good idea? Him staying with you and Karl? C’mon, Viggo, before this is over they’re going to kill each other.” Sean warned recalling all the years Orlando and Karl have been at each other’s throats.

“He has no place to go, Eric kicked him out.” Viggo said attempting to justify his decision.

Sean started laughing. “You really believe that?”

Viggo smiled. “Not really.”

“Look, Orlando is gorgeous, and a Hell of a lot more enticing than Karl.” Sean said. Viggo started to defend himself, but found he didn’t have a rebuttal. “But you chose to be with Karl,” Sean continued. “Don’t use Orlando to get what you’re not getting with him.”

“I know but...” Viggo started when Orlando came back out.

“Who was that?” Viggo asked.

“Wrong number,” Orlando lied.

A few minutes later, the three saw Karl’s black mustang pull in the driveway beside Viggo’s jeep. He hopped out the car, angrily charging at Orlando. “I’m gonna kill you!” he shouted.

Viggo grabbed Karl’s arms, while Orlando hid behind Sean. “Karl, calm down,” he pleaded.

Karl still struggled to get to Orlando. “I’m gonna rip every single one of those curls out strand by strand, you hear me?”

Orlando tightened his grip on Sean’s arms, his eyes wide with fright. Karl broke out of Viggo’s grasp, now Sean was holding onto him to keep him away from Orlando..

Viggo pulled him away from Orlando’s direction to focus on him, “Will you stop and tell me what he did?”

“I called to speak to you, and that little slut wouldn’t let me talk to you.”

Sean heard Orlando gasp. “Hey there is no need to call him that.” Sean said in defense.

“Oh, shut up, Sean, the co-founder of his fan club would say that.” Karl shot back at him.

Sean rolled his eyes.

“Sean is right, that was uncalled for.” Viggo added.

“Is that all you care about, Viggo? That he’s going to get his precious feelings hurt?” Karl asked, not hiding his envy over the way Viggo still fawned over Orlando.

Viggo could feel what Karl needed from him, and that was to show him he was first his life now, not Orlando. Viggo looked at Orlando, taking Karl’s hand in his. Sean looked back at Orlando sympathetically as he stared at Viggo and Karl intensely, his heart aching.

“I know it seems that way; but I’d just appreciate it if you didn’t talk about him that way, when I know he’s not like that.” Viggo said with as much conviction as he could muster even though he knew Karl didn’t want to hear it.

“Well I would appreciate it if he didn’t hang up in my face.” Karl argued.

Viggo looked back at Orlando, who now wore a guilty expression across his face while Sean rubbed his shoulders.

“Orli, was that Karl on the phone?” Viggo asked.

Orlando began to shrink, “Yea but...”

“So you lied to me?” Viggo continued, making Orlando shake at Viggo’s disappointing eyes.

“I know but...” Orlando continued to try to defend himself, but Viggo cut him short, “Then you hung up on him?” he retorted sternly.

“Viggo, he yelled at me.” Orlando shouted defensively. Viggo knew that much was probably true.

“Viggo, you have to see why.” Karl stated. “He’s trying to put a rift out relationship, as if he wasn’t trying already. Now you let him move in here, and even though he’s only been here a couple of days, look at the trouble he’s caused. Open your eyes, Viggo.”

“But, Viggo...” Orlando started when Viggo held up his hand.

“Orlando, please stop it, I mean it. Enough with the lies and excuses.”

Tears welled up in Orlando’s eyes as he pulled himself away from Sean and ran into the house. It took everything Viggo had not to run after him, instead Sean followed him but not before giving Viggo a displeased look.

Karl hid his satisfied expression when Viggo turned back to him.

“I’m sorry about that.” Viggo apologized.

“Are you, Vig? Admit it, you would rather be the one in there comforting Orlando instead of Sean.”

Viggo sighed. “If I wanted to be in there, I would be. I just know how Orlando is, he doesn’t mean any harm.”

“Oh here it comes. Poor Orlando, he just needs someone to love him!” Karl spat bitterly. Viggo gently massaged his forehead, feeling stressed at the situation he was in. Karl continued on his tirade, “He’s a spoiled brat who flips out when you’re not at his beck and call!”

Viggo pulled Karl into his arms, combing his fingers through his hair, “Karl, how many times do I have to tell you that Orlando is my past, you’re my present and future. Yes, I will always care for him deeply; I’ve known him since he was a little kid for Christ sake. But what we had is over, I’m with you now, and I’m not going anywhere,” he promised Karl, who in turn let Viggo give him a sweet apologetic kiss.

*~*~*

Orlando shot envious stares at them from the upstairs bedroom. “Why does Viggo let him do that to him?”

Sean sat on the bed looking up at him. “Do what, Orli?”

Orlando turned around. “Manipulate him. Make him feel bad for caring about me. Everyone in this neighborhood knows Viggo loves me, including Karl. The evidence is in every breath he takes. Why doesn’t Viggo know that, why can’t he remember that?” Orlando started to cry and Sean came to wrap his arms around him.

“Shhh, it ok.” Sean ran his hand soothingly up and down Orlando’s back. “It’s just that so much has happened between you two. Give Viggo some time, he’ll figure out where he wants to be.”

Orlando looked up at him and Sean brushed his curls out his eyes. “Six years isn’t enough time?” Orlando turned away from Sean back to the window. Karl and Viggo were still outside wrapped in each other’s arms, “We’ve been broken up long enough, Beanie, I want him back. Viggo’s had enough time! It’s time I step up my game to help him realize where he wants to be.”

Sean Nodded, “We’ll, Orli, you do what you gotta do.”

Orlando continued to gaze down at the men below, “Believe me, I will!”
