OK, I signed up, but can you tell me how it all works? I mean are we given prompts and pairings? Are we re working another's fic? Thanks!

It's a story exchange, and each participant will be assigned another participant for whom they will write a story based on the requested prompt and pairing. So you will receive an assignment email saying: You are writing for X, who requested the following pairings and genres: ... .

In this exchange, unlike in Remix, you don't work with a story written by somebody else. We ask for a link to fic archive to verify that a person has written something before, and also so that the writer assigned to you can get an idea of what type of stories you write and--presumably--like, if they wish.
