SUMMARY: Viggo and Orlando use to be so close, but lately Viggo has been distant, if not completely hostile towards Orlando. Viggo's birthday is approaching, Sean plans a guys getaway with Orlando, Viggo, Dominic and Billy in Reno for Viggo's birthday. Now with Viggo and Orlando together for a whole weekend, they must finally face their problem with each other.
AUTHOR'S NOTE: I wrote this fic story like two years ago but procrastinated on and procrastinated on it until Viggo's birthday past, then I felt it was no point. Now I finally found time to post it.

Viggo walked in the lounge just in time to see Orlando rocking his hips to the reggae music with an unknown male much to Viggo’s dismay. The neon lights were blazing throughout the room courtesy of the disco ball. Viggo stared at Orlando for moments that seemed locked in time until he broke away to see half the rooms eyes fixated on Orlando’s display. A part of Viggo wanted to go snatch Orlando from the dance floor but his feet stood in place; he finally turned up his face in annoyance and disgust and walked towards the booth where Sean, Billy, and Dominic sat eating and drinking.

Viggo scooted in next to Dominic who sat on the end, “Whose driving?” Viggo asked concerned upon seeing all three on his friends with a drink in hand. They all looked towards Orlando. Viggo’s eyes followed, “We assigned him to be the designated driver, since you know he can’t hold his liquor.” Billy said from the corner. Viggo turned from the dance floor before drifting his back to Orlando, “Yea, I know. Why do you guys let him do that?” He asked. Orlando moved in closer to his partner leaning his head on the man’s shoulder upon noticing Viggo’s unpleased expression. The others could barely contain themselves at Viggo’s annoyance. “Do what, Vig?” Sean asked from next to him. “Make a complete fool of himself.” He said turning away again eyeing Sean’s suspicious glance. “We didn’t know you cared so much.” Dominic stated amused at the invisible fumes that radiated from Viggo. “I care when someone in my company is making the whole group look bad.” Sean scratched his head, “It’s a lounge, Viggo, Orli is doing what people do here, he’s not hurting anyone. Now calm down and order something.” Viggo sat still wanting to look back to the dance floor but didn’t. “What is he doing anyway?” Billy asked attempting to plead Orlando’s case. “If he doesn’t calm down he’s going to get his little ass hurt.” Viggo argued his eyes fixated so intently on the brit, it would be surprising if Orlando could not feel them burning into his back. Billy took a sip of his drink, “We’ll be sure to pass that along.” Viggo stood up, “I’ve lost my appetite boys and not feeling very sociable at the moment.” He said pulling out his wallet laying a wade of 20’s on the table, “Enjoy the rest of your meal on me.” They all looked up at him, “but, Viggo…” Sean started as Viggo shook his head. “I’ll just catch you guys later.” Orlando looked over to his friends when the song ended, suddenly his heart felt heavy when he saw that Viggo was gone. Orlando broke away from his dance partner taking deep breaths from exhaustion while heading towards his three friends. He crawled over Sean’s lap to his plate of half eaten clam chowder he began dipping into the rest of it, “Where’d the old man go, no offense, Beanie.” Sean laughed with his arm on the top of the booth behind Orlando’s head. “No worries, mate.” Dominic waited for Orlando to look up, “You chased him off.” He smirked sipping his drink. Orlando sat back, ”I doubt I have that kind of power over him, if Viggo left it was of his own accord.” The others snickered, “You sure about that?” Billy asked with a cocked smile. Orlando lowered his eyes. Sean leaned over closing into his ear, “I don’t know, Orli, he spent the whole twenty minutes he was here talking about you.” Orlando crossed his arms defensively, “Chastising me, I’m sure. I don’t know when he became such a hothead.” Sean sighed before smiling knowingly, “If he’s a hothead, you my young friend are most definitely the match!” Orlando gave a nervous laugh wondering just what Sean meant by that.

“Come on, Orli, you’re the best when it comes to gifts.” Billy said dragging Orlando through the crowded mall. “Not when you just woke me up from my beauty rest.” Billy giggled as Orlando abruptly stopped holding Billy in place, “SHOES!” He screamed. Billy now was drugged into DSW. “Aren’t we suppose to be look for Viggo’s present?” Orlando sat on the bench trying on the first pair boots in he saw in his size. He looked up at Billy, “No, YOU’RE suppose to be looking for Viggo’s present. I already got him one, even though, he could care less I’m sure.” Billy ran his hand through his hair, “Orlando…” Cut short by Orlando waving his him off, “I don’t wanna here it, Billy. You have me out here shopping for a man who over the last six months went from my best friend to hating my guts. I can’t find solace in that and don’t you dare defend him to me!” Customers glanced briefly at Orlando’s raised voice. Billy noticed and took a seat next to Orlando who had taken seat on the bench inside the store, and put his face in his hands. “Calm down, Orli. Viggo doesn’t hate you. Orlando looked up, “You’re kidding right?” Orlando gave an agitated sigh. “Hey, don’t do that, I’m not defending him.” Billy responded passing Orlando another pair of shoes in an attempt to cheer him up. Orlando smiled taking the leopard snake skin ankle boots from Billy. “These look like something Viggo would wear. Why don’t you get these for him.” Billy looked as if a light came on over his head, “That’s not a bad idea. See, Orli, I knew you were the best.” Orlando gave Billy back the shoes as they walked up to the counter, “If he doesn’t hate me, then why does he treat me like his life would be better if I’d never been born?” Billy laughed handing the cashier his AMEX, “Maybe to him, it would be.” Orlando threw him a scrutinizing glare. Billy settled his laughter walking out the store with Orlando tugging behind, “And what of the way you treat him?” Orlando widen his eyes, “ME? He started it.” Billy glanced up at him from the door of his BMW, “Orlando are you seven, come on get in the car.” Orlando was more focus on what was going on outside then sitting in the car listening to Billy go on about Viggo. “Maybe it you talk him…” Orlando shot around, “Talk to him! I tried to talk to him, the man is unreasonable, all you guys just need to face it our friendship died along time ago, so screw it and screw Viggo.” Billy pulled in front of Orlando’s house. Billy sighed before he unlocked the door, “Try to get some rest, Orlando; we’ve got a long drive to Reno tomorrow.” Orlando stepped out the car, “Billy, I’m not going.” Billy gasped Orlando, we’ve been planning this for months.” Orlando knew it was wrong to back out at the last minute but he was not feeling it was in his best interest to be around Viggo for a for the next three days when Viggo acted as if he could barely be around him for a few seconds. “I know how long its been but that’s almost how long it took for Viggo to realized I was a waste of space.” Billy leaned over the passenger seat to get a closer look at Orlando, “I know you, Orli and I know you don’t really believe that.” Orlando backed away from the car door, “Well you know more than me, because I don’t know anything anymore. I’ll bring his present by later; can you give it to him for me?” Billy nodded trying to figure out how he was going to tell Viggo, Orlando was going to be a no show for his birthday, “He’s going to be upset.” Orlando called back, “If he has a problem with it, he knows where to find me.” Orlando began to enter his house. “I just don’t want him to shoot the messenger in the process.” Billy called out after him, Orlando laughed waving bye to Billy before closing the door behind him.

Orlando was lying across his bed falling asleep on Legends of the Fall when he heard a sudden wrapping at his door. The first knock startled him, before he laid back deciding whether or not to budge but the wrapping continued. ”Orlando, open up!” Orlando rolled his eyes at Viggo’s demanding voice finally he moved lazily from his bed. “Alright, alright, I’m coming.” Orlando called running to the door with nothing but his boxers. “Jesus, Viggo, what the hell is your problem?” Orlando asked as soon as he opened the door. Viggo scanned his half-naked body before walking into the living room as Orlando closed the door. “Well come on in.” Orlando remarked sarcastically shocked by Viggo’s rudeness. “Well I’m here, you wanted my attention, you got it.” Orlando went to turn on the lamp beside the couch, “I see you got my memo.” He said picking up his bags he’d bought home from the mall earlier but decided to drop in the first place he could find. He walked into his room, Viggo followed him.

Orlando was hanging up his clothes when Viggo entered. “Everyone expects you to be there.” Viggo said residing the less than gentle tone in his voice. Orlando turned around, “It doesn’t matter what they want. Viggo, it’s your birthday and you’re the one who doesn’t want me there.” Viggo tried to avoid Orlando’s eyes not confirming or denying his accusation afraid if he looked into them Orlando could see right through him. “The point is Sean paid for all of us and you’re not backing out.” Orlando folded his arms scornfully, “Ok now it’s, Beanie, I’ll pay him back. Does that make you feel better?” Viggo stalked closer to him. Orlando hesitantly backed to his bed sitting when he reached the edge. Viggo leaned his hand on the mattress close to Orlando’s thigh. Their noses barely touching, “No, that doesn’t cut it, you’re not pulling one of your baby acts and flaking. You won’t be disappointing your friends if I have anything to say about it.” Orlando turned his face away when Viggo tugged it back to him, “Look at me, if you insist on acting like a spoiled brat, fine! Just be ready in the morning! He ordered. “If you don’t I’m coming in here and dragging you out.” Viggo continued turning to leave. He briefly looked back just as Orlando was wiping the tears from his eyes. Viggo’s heart sunk at his unusual aggression. He immediately regretted everything he’d done from the moment he walked in. He sighed and turned to Orlando. “Orl..” Orlando waved him off, “Don’t! just leave, Viggo.” He said crawling into his bed. Viggo sighed turning off Orlando’s lights before leaving the room. Before Viggo left Orlando could see his eyes glowing in the moonlight and in them he saw a sudden softness that he hadn’t seen in a long time.

*~*~*

The quartet pulled up in front of Orlando’s house the following morning. Sean put his rental green expedition in park, blowing his horn for Orlando to know they were outside, “Viggo, it was really no big deal; you didn’t have to force him to come for fifty-six dollars.” Viggo sat coolly in the passenger seat waiting for Orlando like the others with his black beanie trimmed in white with matching scarf and jacket. He tied the lace of his boots, sitting back to look at Sean, “It could have been two dollars; he’s just trying to get attention. He knows he wanted to come.” Dominic stuck his head between Sean and Viggo, “Your attention that is.” Viggo rolled his eyes, “I thought you’d fallen asleep already.” He said over to him before taking a glance at Billy, “Both of you, from all that partying last night.” Noticing Billy had also emerged from his stupor. Billy leaned up on Dominic’s back, “Any conversation about you and Orlando is always the highlight of our day. So what’s this about Orlando’s need for attention?” Before Viggo responded all heads turned when Orlando opened his front door, dragging his belongings behind him; two rolling large suit cases. He tuned to lock up his house and continued to the car. Sean popped the trunk and Dominic leaned back to make room for Orlando’s things, “He does realize we’re only going for three days, don’t he?” Billy helped don’t move the luggage and presents to the side, “Well you know Orlando and his hair products.” The two sat back up in the seat chuckling, Dominic whispered into the car before Orlando approached, “A better question would be does he realize he’d a guy?” Sean slightly laughed but it wasn’t compared to the two younger men. Viggo sat patiently watching Orlando try to lift his heavy bags into the trunk, he got out to help when Viggo reached for it he snatched his hand away, “I got it, Viggo! If I wanted your help, I’d ask for it. I don’t need and now and I don’t need you making decisions for me, OK!” Orlando finished piling in his bags, and pushed a silver box into Viggo’s chest. “If you want me to stay pissed at you all the way to Nevada, that’s doable just don’t fucking talk to me. HERE! Happy Birthday!” Orlando stated angrily storming past Viggo. Viggo held the box, his heart sinking at Orlando’s harshness before turning to follow Orlando into the jeep. Dominic and Billy humor subsided at the tension that had built up between Orlando and Viggo. Orlando sat in the far back behind Dominic and Billy in an attempt to put as much distance between him and Viggo as he could. Viggo glanced at him when he got back in but Orlando stared out the window, Viggo closed the door and the boys drove off.

The car was mostly except for Dominic and Billy who usual
chatters went ignored. Occasionally they would say something to Orlando who would shoot them uninterested one word comments such as un-huh and ok, he was mostly interested in the US Weekly magazine he was reading. He would often feel Viggo looking at him but when he looked up Viggo had swiftly turned his head. Sean noticed Viggo discomfort about Orlando’s earlier outburst. He whispered to Viggo trying to make his voice inaudible enough for Orlando not to here, “Why don’t you say something to him, I know you want to.” Viggo continued staring straight ahead, “I’ll just let him be that’s what he wants.” Sean shook his head, “I see you still don’t get that’s the last thing he wants.” Viggo leaned his head against the window, feeling Orlando’s eyes burn into the back of his head. Dominic placed his hands on the shoulders of Viggo’s seat, It’s way too quiet in here.” Viggo glanced at him, “Quiet? The two of you are talking a mile a minute.” Dominic laughed, “But no one else is, Orlando’s reading his stupid magazine…” Orlando frowned, catching Viggo’s eye before burying his face back in the mag. Dominic continued blabbing, “You’re more focused on what’s going on outside, because you’re afraid you will step on Orlando’s toes and if you two don’t talk to each other, I’m going to go insane, CHRIST!” Everyone shot a look at Dominic. “It’s ok, Dom.” Billy said. Orlando finally closed his magazine, “Fine, Dommie, what do you want us to talk about.” Sean asked. Dominic was unsure what to say now, “I don’t know; something, anything.” Viggo met Orlando’s eyes completely for the first time. Orlando could tell there was something Viggo wanted to say but couldn’t. Sean broke their contact, “Ok it’s getting a little too heated in here so lets save that for when we get to the cabin. How about we play a car game?” He suggested. “Like…” Billy quizzed. “Oh, I don’t know…” Sean started cut off by Dominic, “I SPY!” Viggo stiffened in his seat from exhaustion and the indescribable annoyance he’d been feeling lately. “All you guys have got to be kidding, what are we, ten?” Even Orlando cracked a brief smile at the remark. Viggo heard him feeling a slight comfort in that. Sean curled his eyes, “The way you two been acting lately, I would’ve guessed so.” He passed to Orlando and Viggo. Viggo shook his head while Orlando made no reply. “Whatever.” Viggo added turning his head to the side, “Wake me up when we’re there.” Orlando continued to focus on Viggo until he watched him fall asleep.

~*~*~

Viggo fluttered his eyes when heard Orlando’s low voice, “We’re here, Vig.” Viggo looked back at him as he passed gifts and suitcases to Dominic and Billy. Viggo stepped out after Sean went inside the lodge. Viggo pulled on his puff coat, taking in the cold that was sustained from the heat in the car. The snow dropped softly into Orlando’s curls was at the back struggling with the last two suitcases. Orlando barely notice Viggo walk over to him, he pulled Orlando’s hood over his head, “You’ll catch your death, Orli, here let me help you.” Orlando felt slight compassion for Viggo he’d thought had been lost. Viggo reached for the bag, “I can get it, Viggo.” Viggo took his hand, “Like you got it now?” He said noticing Orlando had made no more progress then he had minutes before. “It’s cute you want to prove how macho you are, but you’re going to hurt yourself.” Orlando relented as Viggo took the heavier of the two bags, “Here, take this one.” Orlando did as he said closing the trunk he watch Viggo walk away without saying anything else. Even though Viggo continued his stubborn stance, Orlando couldn’t help the joy he felt at how protective he still was of him. He followed Viggo’s tracts through the snow and inside the cabin.

Dominic was coming out the bathroom when they entered, “Woa, felt like I just released an ocean in there.” He said wiping his hands on a towel. Viggo sat on the black leather couch, “Thanks for that bit of useless information, Dommie.” Dominic headed toward Billy who was already raiding the refrigerator, “Oh you’re welcome.” Billy laughed. Orlando was hanging up his coat just as Sean walked from upstairs, “Hey, Beanie.” Sean smiled at him. “We’ll I see you two haven’t killed each other yet.” Dominic and Billy sat at the bar stools eating sandwiches, Billy beat Dominic to the last bite, “They were about to, we stopped them.” He joked. “I’m sure.” Sean replied. Sitting on the couch next to Viggo. Orlando sat in the recliner across from the two older men picking up a Navada Vacation magazine. Sean looked to Dominic and Billy, “Well gang what do you want to do first?” They cheesed at each other and ran out to the Jacuzzi on the patio. Orlando replaced his expressionless face with an amused smile while still looking in the book. Sean handed Viggo the itinerary, “I guess you were right we are in the presence of ten year olds.” Viggo slightly laughed, “What’s this?” Sean pointed at the list, “It’s your three days, Viggo, what do you want to do first? Skiing, shopping, ice skating, ski lifts you choose…” Viggo and Sean looked at Orlando who was falling asleep. Viggo placed the list on the table, “You’re a little anxious aren’t you?” Sean nodded, “Kinda, when you work as hard as we do, you need a vacation once in a while.” Sean gently shook Orlando’s knee, “Orli, why don’t you go get some rest.” Orlando opened his eyes, he stretched, Viggo stared at him just as Dominic came to the door, now dripping wet. “Come join us, Orli.” He shouted. “He doesn’t want to wet his curls, right, Orli.” Viggo teased slapping his thigh. Orlando stood up obviously upset. Sean looked up, “Don’t look like that, Orli, he’s just playing. You have plenty of time to keep up with Dom and Billy and listen to Viggo’s antics, so don’t get upset after one.” Orlando ignored Sean, moving closer to Viggo letting his body brush against Viggo’s thigh, he slowly stripped down to his briefs. Sean’s mouth dropped open in disbelief, Dominic bit his bottom lip. Orlando stood between Viggo’s legs intention causing his knee to make contact with Viggo’s groin. Viggo met Orlando’s eyes who occupied a self satisfied smirk. Orlando ran his hand over Viggo’s chest and the other between his legs, “But I rather keep up with Dom and Billy now, and endure Viggo’s insults later!” He stated giving Viggo’s balls a gentle squeeze making a point. Viggo grunted, Orlando released him stepping over him to follow his laughing friend onto the patio. “Billy guess what Orlando just did...” Dominic said their voices faded when Orlando closed the door behind them. Viggo sat up in the couch still reeling from the effect of Orlando’s display. He looked over to Sean who was scratching his head chuckling. “He’s just trying to get a rise out of me.” Viggo said defensively shaking his leg. Sean eyed to bulge in Viggo’s pants, “I see he accomplished his goal, you need a cold one.” Viggo abruptly stopped moving, “You know what I mean, Sean.” He said looking back at Orlando who was preoccupied now with the entertainment of his two friends. “What I know is, Orlando has done nothing wrong. All he’s done is…” Viggo stood up cutting him off, “Don’t say it!” He ordered. Sean followed Viggo around the cabin, stopping in front of the fireplace. “Just tell him what’s going on with you, Viggo, you owe him that much for putting up with your bullshit all this time.” Viggo had his back to Sean running his hands over the back of his head as Sean continued to lecture him. “You know what’s going to happen if you don’t quit being an asshole to him?” Sean pulled him around Viggo met his eyes, “That light you use to hold in his eyes is going to die, because its already started to flicker, Vig. All four of us use to be so close, now its you, me, Dominic and Billy on one side, then Orlando, Dominic, Billy and me on another. What screwed up notion of a friendship is that?” Viggo looked away, “No, you listen.” Sean demanded Viggo faced him once more. “What do you want from him Viggo? You try to force him to be in your company yet all you do is berate him, criticize him, mock him or worst of all ignore him, so why not do us all a favor and quit being a stubborn prick and end the Viggo, Orlando war once and for all.” Viggo looked to Orlando through the tan glass doors and back to Sean, “And just how am I suppose to do that?” Sean pulled out his wallet handing Viggo a picture of Orlando. Viggo had taken when he went with him to London two years before. Viggo gave it a warm smile. He remembered taking it when Orlando was making funny faces at him through the camera and Orlando had drug him all around that day to visit all his favorite places when he lived there. Sean put his arm around Viggo’s shoulders, “I see how much you miss him, we all do. Except Orlando; he’s happiest when he’s with you Viggo, he loves you, don’t make him hate you. Stop this insanity, you know what you have to do and that can be your birthday present to yourself.” Sean finished leaving Viggo in a state of unrest in the middle of the room. He looked at the picture again then Orlando outside, seeing just how much can change with time, he was overcome with the feeling that maybe Sean was right.

*~*~*

Viggo tossed and turned most of the night, unable to sleep because of the occasional laughter coming from Dominic’s and Billy’s room but mostly because of all the words Sean had spoken to him where replaying themselves in his head. Thoughts of Orlando where beginning to consume him and his conflicting anxiety. Viggo eased himself from bed, he walked through the cabin stopping at the patio to see beautiful run of snow. Viggo decided to step outside to get a better feel when Orlando still at the tub turned to look up at him. “You’ve been out here all evening?” Viggo asked staring into his christened chocolate eyes. Orlando went back to look into the water and slowly nodded, “I couldn’t sleep”. Viggo sat next to him, Orlando looked over to him surprised that Viggo was doing more then turning away when their eyes met. “Yea, I couldn’t either.” He admitted, they were both silent for what seemed like hours but only minutes had past until Orlando broke the silence, “Why did you want me here, Viggo, the real reason?” Viggo knew if he met Orlando’s eyes he would be able to read between the truth and lies. “Orlando you know you wanted to come, I didn’t want your stubbornness to deprive you of that.” Orlando ran his feet under the water. “Why’d you even care, you don’t even like me anymore.” Viggo shrugged, finally looking at him, “Orli, stop being ridiculous you know how much I care about you.” Orlando faced him tears beaming from the corners of his eyes. “Really?! I thought I knew that, lately I’m not so sure. You say you want me here for your birthday, yet you barely acknowledge I’m in the room”. "That's not true!" Viggo said in weak denial, but to his dismay Orlando didn't believe him. "Viggo you can do a lot of things but don't lie to me please; you can't even look at me and when you do it’s like you're looking through me. Is that all that our friendship has come to, was I just little or nothing to you, because I'm certainly invisible now." Viggo turned on him sharply, "Orlando, enough!" Viggo's intense gaze made Orlando's eyes burn, he felt an ache in his chest but he was use to it. He turned away from Viggo, wiping his face as he did. Orlando began caressing the back of his neck with a discomforting look on his face. Viggo stared over at him, "What's the matter?" He asked with lacy concern in his voice. "My neck's been bothering me all evening, probably that long car ride". Viggo scooted closer to him, he ran his along his shoulder blades, he touched Orlando's hands, "Turn around." Viggo whispered against his ear, Orlando did as he said. Viggo began gently giving Orlando a massage. Orlando's upper torso rocked back and forth, his hands over Orlando’s to replace his with his owns. Viggo began caressing his neck in a circular motion, “Why?” Viggo tried to ignore his question he slipped behind him so his legs were on either side of him. Viggo continued massaging him causing Orlando to rock back and forth. Orlando shut his eyes remembering the times there wasn’t so much hostility between him and Viggo, when they were on better speaking terms. “How does it feel?” Orlando took a deep breath, it feels good you always make be feel good.” Viggo slid his hands down Orlando’s back. “That’s good, I’m glad you feel better.” Viggo started to get up but Orlando held his hands in place on top of Orlando’s thighs. “Viggo, wait don’t go. Why don’t I get this anymore? You always take care of me, I miss it, I miss you.” Viggo swallowed hard, his throat feeling dry, and his hands claiming up he wanted touch Orlando, he gently squeezed Orlando’s sides stopping to run his hands around Orlando’s stomach. Orlando began to intentionally push his ass back into Viggo’s groin. Viggo let out a soft moan and a sensation he’d been avoiding started to come over him, “I miss your touch, Vig, your love, your smile.” Orlando said letting his hand dance over Viggo’s that were still planted around his stomach, he moved Viggo hands to slid to his inner thigh. “I miss you too.” Viggo didn’t deny. Viggo’s fingers finally made contact with Orlando hardness. Orlando bit down of his lip allowing Viggo to grip his dick. Viggo wanted him so bad, but he refused to allow himself to go there with him. Viggo removed his hand, “Orlando, stop it! Ok!” Viggo removed himself from behind him. Orlando covered his arms around shyly around each other. Viggo looked down at him, “Look, Orli, our relationship isn’t now and never have been about sex. Don’t turn this into that, that’s not what I want from you.” Orlando turned on him, “Then what is it, Viggo, can you tell what happened to make you hate me so much.” Viggo didn’t know how to respond but his heart was breaking to see Orlando’s confusion, but he was conflicted himself so how could he help Orlando when he couldn’t help himself. He slowly ran his hands through Orlando’s curls, “I don’t hate you, Orlando.” He turned towards the patio door, “Get some rest, Orli.” He said pausing at the door to glance at Orlando once more only to witness the waters of confusion pour down his face. Viggo entered that cabin backing against the door allowing his own tears to stream down his face.

*~*~*

Viggo walked sleepily from his room, the blur of daybreak causing him to still squint his eyes. He looked over at Dominic, Sean, and Billy. “Finally he wakes.” Sean said sarcastically, “Me and boys have been trying to wake you up all morning. Didn’t you get any sleep, last night?” He asked more rudely then he intended. “Not really.” Viggo replied thinking about Orlando. “Well hurry up then, get dressed. We have to be at the station by twelve.” Viggo noticed Dominic and Billy were being kind of cold towards him but shrugged it off as nothing more then the grogginess of the morning for them. “Where’s Orli.” Viggo finally asked. The trio finally let out there annoyance towards Viggo. “He’s asleep.” Sean snapped. “No thanks to you.” Billy added. “You know, Viggo, if you wanted to be a jerk to him, you could have did that back in LA. You didn’t have to drag him all the way out here to treat him like shit.” Dominic threw in. Viggo felt himself being back into corner. “Woa, woa, why are you guys gaining up on me, what did he say I did? I talked to him last night and that was it, I didn’t do anything to him.” Sean zipped up his jacket, “He didn’t have to say anything, Viggo, after all you have you haven’t really talked to him in six months have you?” Viggo sat on the couch, Sean came over to stand in front of him, “I sat up with him half the night go on and on about you, and yea I heard about your little incident by the hot tube. He cares about you, and you’re throwing that all away. Tell him the truth, Viggo. Please.” Sean begged, but Viggo looked away, even thought every word out Sean’s mouth was heard loud and clear. He knew how hurt and confused Orlando was and that made his heart burn.

“I finally gave him a sleeping pill, thats why he’s so tired so he won’t be joining us today. But time is passing, so you better go get dressed.” Sean continued. He could only hope he was able to reach VIggo.

Viggo looked towards Orlando’s room, “We’re just going to leave him by himself all day.” Sean resumed packing, “He’ll sleep half the day anyway, and then we should be on our way back.”

“Maybe I should go talk to him.” Viggo started towards Orlando’s door. Sean raised his voice to hold Viggo in his place. “Viggo, leave him be, the shuttle with be at the pick up station at 10:00am sharp and his already 9:35. Orlando doesn’t want to talk to you. And you put him in that position, so can you blame him.” Viggo thought for a moment, “I don’t want him to worry when he wakes up.” Sean looked towards Billy and Dominic exchanging smiles. “So I take it you’re not going.” Viggo nodded. “Ok, it’s your party, man. We’re just going to be enjoying it without you.” The guys headed out the door, “But if you didn’t want to go all you had to do is say so, you don’t have to use Orlando as excuse.” He smirked while the other two laughed. Viggo gave him a wry smile and shook his head. “Just don’t aggravate him, please.” Sean said opening the door. “Yes sir.” Viggo joked, “Hey, you guys be careful, the weather doesn’t look so hot.” Sean looked out the door, “No, no it doesn’t.” Viggo laughed. “You know what I mean.”

“Be nice, Vig, we’ll call when we get out to the slopes.” He said, Viggo nodded and Sean closed the door behind him. Viggo watched them through the window, running through the snow to the shuttle station.

Viggo sat in the lounge area alone taking frequent glances towards Orlando’s room, fighting whether or not to go check on him. But he decided Sean was right, he should leave him be for now. He turned on the TV the see if any games or good shows were on but all he could focus on was the younger man in the other room, who soft purrs were seeping through the wooden door were not helping Viggo’s mind stay off of him but even so Viggo’s mind was never off of Orlando. Viggo couldn’t help it but he knew by the sounds he was making he was not sleeping right. He did want him to wake up with a crook in his neck or back problems. Viggo switched off the TV, got up and slowly opened Orlando’s door. He couldn’t help but smile at Orlando’s sleeping form, he was stretched out with his on his back with his arms above his head and the sheet only rose halfway up his thigh. Orlando was wearing boxers and his shirt was partly raised so Viggo could clearly see his stomach from under it, rising and falling as he breathed. The room was so cold and the burning fire place was not doing its duty. Viggo covered Orlando all the way up with the sheet, and went to the closet where he found more blankets, he gently spread the over Orlando, he gave a nudge at his side so he would turn over off his back, trying his best not to wake him. He then sat next to him, he ran the back of his fingers across his forehead knocking his curls out his eyes. How peaceful he looked, Viggo thought. So beautiful. Orlando stirred uncomfortably but did not wake. “Just give me a little more time, Orli. Don’t give up on me yet.” Viggo spoke softly and looked up from Orlando to the darkness over shadowing the light outside. He began to grow worried about his other three friends when the phone ringed, he tucked Orlando in as he stood up, he leaned over him giving him a soft kiss on the forehead. Orlando stirred for moment but did not wake. Viggo gave him one final look before he closed the door behind him.

Orlando woke after what seemed like days for him, but only a few hours for everyone else. He yawned and slipped from under the covers and ran to the bathroom to relieve himself and take a quick shower. He stepped out grabbed a towel to wrap around his waist. He picked up his bag threw it on top of the bed, so he could grabbed a clean t-shirt and his cotton black and green plaid pajama bottoms. He noticed it was unusually quiet, he was surprised Dominic and Billy were not rousing up the who resort by now. He walked out the room it was dark except for the burning fire place and some candles, he saw Viggo sitting at the bar on his laptop when Orlando walked past him to the fridge. Viggo followed him but quickly put his eyes back on the screen before he turned around. Orlando turned towards the counter so he could pour a glass of milk. He looked over to Viggo who was pretending to ignore him. “Why are all the lights out?” Orlando asked, taking in a gulp of his cup of milk before putting the container back in the refrigerator. “Blackout.” Viggo answered simply. “Oh, where is everybody?”

“They went out on the ski slops.” Viggo said.

“Why didn’t you go with them, they came up here for you didn’t they?” Orlando said not attempting to hide his nasty tone.

“I didn’t want you to worry.” Viggo admitted after a hint of hesitation.

“Is that right, I didn’t think you cared. Look I don’t need a babysitter.” Orlando replied sarcastically.

Viggo sighed, still looking into the computer screen to avoid looking at Orlando. “I know what you’re doing, Orli, you’re trying to start an argument. You know it’s good I didn’t go because you would have been stuck here half the night by yourself.” Orlando flinched, “ Why is that?” He asked. “There was a blizzard earlier so the roads are closed. The boys are stuck at the shuttle station near the slopes, until they can get a clear passage back here.” Orlando’s chastising demeanor swiftly changed to fright, “Oh, my God, Viggo, are they ok.” Viggo finally turned to finally put more focus on Orlando the computer. He patted Orlando’s hand that was counter of the bar as he stood on the opposite side of Viggo.“Yes they’re fine, I’ve talked to Sean twice already. He said they are staying busy playing cards and probably won’t be back until the morning. Don’t worry about them, they’re better off the we are because they have light and heat and rangers and such.”

Orlando slightly smiled relieved. Viggo closed his laptop got up to go around to the kitchen so he could get a bottle of water out the refrigerator. Orlando looked over at him, “So that means I’m stuck here with you all night.” Viggo rolled his eyes, “You’ve already been stuck here with me all morning.” Viggo walked towards Orlando who backed into the counter timidly. “And after last night’s episode, that should be exactly what you want, right?” He said running his hands up Orlando’s side. He leaned in to whisper into Orlando’s ear, “This is what you wanted to get a rise out of me.” Orlando looked at the bulge in Viggo’s boxers, “Well you got one, so what are you going to do about it.” Orlando cowered as Viggo closed the contact, he pushed him back. “Stop it!” Orlando shouted, “Why are you doing this?”

“This is what you wanted last night, is it not?” Viggo’s voice rose Orlando shook his head. “Or do you prefer us yelling at each other?” “YES!” Orlando shouted back, that is what I prefer, after all that is the only time you talk to me. The only time you pay any attention what so ever to me.” His words made Viggo’s blood chill. He attempted to avoid his eyes but Orlando forced him to look back, “No, look at me; you started this, Viggo, remember?” Viggo finally felted trapped, feeling he was unable to run from Orlando anymore. “You have shut me out of your life for the last six months, but time’s up, Viggo, I want answers. Tell me how you went from being my best friend to complete asshole in point 3 seconds, I want you to tell me how you did 180 on our friendship, Viggo, and now we’re left with this screwed up relationship where we don’t talk to each other, oh but we have the same mutual friends so we have to see each other all that damn time. And I hate it, Viggo. I just don’t get any of this and I don’t know what I did to deserve any of it. But I can’t deal with this from you anymore, I love you but you act like you hate me; you say you don’t but your actions tell a different story. I’m done, Vig, it hurts too much.” Viggo felt tears welling up in his eyes, but he tried to keep his brave face. Orlando couldn’t help the tears flooding down his face, “We use to be so close, what happened? What changed? Do you hate me that much?” Viggo’s eyes dropped from Orlando’s. Orlando let out an exasperated sigh, “Fine, I’m through caring just leave me alone from now on.” He turned to walk past him. “Orli...” Viggo breathed catching Orlando’s wrist in his hand, pulling him back to him capturing his mouth in a passionate kiss. Orlando widen his eyes in shock at first as Viggo cupped his head. Orlando gripped Viggo’s wrist, sinking into realization until Viggo released him, he brushed his head against Orlando’s. “That’s what changed, baby, everything...” Viggo brought Orlando’s hand to hold it against his heart, “You’re under my skin, Orli , and I can’t get you out.” Viggo let him go, walking past him out the kitchen. Leaving Orlando with floundering thoughts.

Now Orlando finally understood.

*~*~*

Viggo stared out the window watching the snow fall when Orlando entered his room. He felt relieved when Orlando came up behind him letting his hands glide up his arms. Orlando ran his hands around Viggo’s body as he walked to stand between Viggo and the window just as the clock struck midnight. Orlando took Viggo’s face in his hands to give him a sweet kiss on the lips, “Happy birthday, Viggo.” Viggo gave him an endearing smile, “I know...” He paused taking a deep breath, “Why didn’t I just tell you?” Orlando looked away and smiled while nodding his head. “You’ve always been a hard man to read, Vig, but, wow, I sure didn’t expect this. What made you decide to tell me now?” Viggo softly laughed and went to sit on the edge of the bed, “I ran out of excuses.” Viggo said accepting that as the best answer he could come up with. Then Orlando saw Viggo’s face turn serious, “Ok, I didn’t want to lose you, I mean that’s what you told me in the kitchen isn’t it? That you were through with me. So it was either tell how I feel and lose you, or not tell you and still lose you. So I figured if you were going to walk out of my life you might as well know why you you had to.”

Orlando sat next to him, putting his hand around the back of Viggo’s neck. “You were to scared of how I was going to feel about you if you told me that?” Orlando asked as he nuzzled his nose into Viggo’s shoulder. “Orli, I was trying to deal. I was falling for my best friend. I didn’t know what you would think of me, you’ve been with people who just wanted to get in your pants, I refuse to have you think of me in that manner.” Orlando for split second felt offended that Viggo would think such a thing. But it left as quickly as it came. “You know me better than that, I have never thought bad of you for being honest with me.” Orlando stood up, coming around to stand in front of Viggo. He looked up at him, “I love you too, you should have trusted that.”

“I know, I’m so sorry.” Viggo said letting a tear fall from his eye, Orlando leaned in to kiss his stained cheek. “It’s ok, we’re here now.” He said, then he winked and spoke in a tempting tone with underlining shyness. “And we’re alone.” Viggo smiled out the corner of his mouth, “Are you trying to seduce me.” Orlando chuckled, “Maybe a little, is it working?”

“You tell me.” Viggo hinted nodding downward. Orlando looked down at the bulge in Viggo’s pants, “Maybe I should help you with that then.”

“You sure?” Viggo asked. Orlando crawled onto his lap, Viggo slid further back on the bed until he was on his back with Orlando over him, “Does this answer your question?” Viggo nodded when Orlando began running his hands under Viggo’s shirt over his hard chest. He leaned in kissing Viggo’s neck, stopping to pull Viggo’s shirt over his head, Viggo ran his hands up Orlando’s back holding the back of his head as he captured his mouth in a possessive kiss. Orlando struggled to pull his own shirt off, Viggo let his hands slide down Orlando’s back gripping his ass before pulling his shirt off. Viggo flipped Orlando over so he was now on top, he pulled down his boxers, now standing naked before Orlando everything about the night began to feel real for the both of them. Orlando’s breathing sped up when he look at how hard Viggo was. Viggo cupped Orlando’s groin through his pajama pants causing him to let out a moan. “You ready, Orli. You want this.” Viggo asked not really waiting for an answer when he pulled Orlando’s pants down tossing them over the bed. Orlando spread his legs, “It’s your birthday, Viggo, and I want you so I’m giving myself to you. Make love to me, please.” Viggo hovered over Orlando trailing his tongue down his chest, he ran his hands up Orlando’s knees, so he could bring them up to his chest. Orlando held onto Viggo’s arms, a little nervous and a little excited. “Relax, ok” Viggo said. Orlando smirked, “I’m not a virgin, you know?” Viggo laughed, “Yea but you’ve never been with me.” Orlando jokingly punched Viggo in his chest, “Cocky much.” “No that’s what I’m about to give you.” Orlando rolled his eyes, “I love you, Orli, I’m sorry for not having the guts to tell you that.” Viggo kissed him again. Orlando well you have forever to make it up to me, starting now. C’mon, Viggo...” Orlando said then begged wantonly tugging on Viggo’s arm. Viggo laughed, “Alright, alright.” He grabbed some vaseline from his nightstand, slicking his fingers so he could insert them in Orlando’s body. Orlando arched his back, while biting his lip. “You might as well be a virgin.” Viggo joked. “Funny, you’re all talk because you’re in control right now.”

“Just fuck me, filthy human.” Viggo finally replace his fingers with his cock, “I’ll show you how filthy I am, elf boy.” Orlando let out a yelp at the pressure. Viggo paused to let Orlando take a breath until he got use to the feeling. Viggo gripped his hips as he continued pushing his way in, Orlando moaned . “Shit, Viggo.” Orlando let out while griping Viggo’s shoulders. “You’re so tight, Orli, I’m trying to be gentle.” Viggo stroked Orlando’s cock while grazing his neck with his teeth to cover the discomfort. A few pumps and Orlando was already coming. “Ooo,Viggg...” He moaned coming into Viggo’s hand Viggo peered down into his chocolate eyes as licking his creamy substance off his hand while Orlando licked his lips. Orlando purred as Viggo sped up his thrust. The sound of Orlando voice and flexing of his body as he thrust into him was beginning to be too much for Viggo as well when he felt himself coming, he groaned coming hard into Orlando. He laid on his chest a few moments before pulling himself out. Orlando rubbed his hands up and down Viggo’s back. Viggo kissed his nipple, “Are you ok?” Orlando stroked his hair, “Never been better, how was that for a birthday present?” “Let’s just say I’m going to have to stay in shape to keep up with you.” The two laughed, Viggo turned to Orlando propping his head up, “So are we ok, now.” “I’m pretty sure we understand each other now.” Viggo took Orlando’s hand, “So you think you will be willing to try your chances with an old man?” Orlando kissed Viggo, “Come here, silly, of course.” Viggo was pulled on top of Orlando and they made love until they fell asleep.

*~*~*

Viggo woke to the sound of pounding on his door, Orlando fluttered his eyes and looked at Viggo. Viggo stroked his curls, “I’ll be right back.” He said. Orlando put the pillow over his head to shade the morning light from his face. He went to the door cracked it to see his trio of friends had returned, “What happened last night Viggo?” Sean demanded. Viggo raised his eyebrow, “Come again.” Billy rolled his eyes, “Orlando! Viggo, he’s not in his room. What did you do to him?” They looked confused when Viggo softly laughed. Viggo opened the door wider so they could see Orlando who was now sitting up in bed, he waved at them. “Hi, guys, me and Vig made up.” Dominic cheesed, “We see.” “Well on that note, we’re just going to go get some breakfast downstairs, when we get changed.” Viggo nodded. “Good job, Viggo, you made the right decision.” Viggo looked back at Orlando who gave him a warm smile, “I know.” Sean started to leave but turned back, "Oh yea, happy birthday." Viggo smiled, "Thanks." And the guys left the room as Viggo crawled back into Orlando’s arms a place he could stay forever.
